It was great to have a visit from the new Mayor of Wolverhampton, Councillor Paul Singh, earlier today. He spent time looking around the facilities at Aldersley and chatting to some of our young athletes and coaches during one of our regular training sessions.

Final reminder from Henryk Piotrowski to coaches/athletes that the deadline for entering the Wolves team for this Saturday's West Mids Schools is today Wednesday 10th as the track cards and heat draws for the Champs will be made from Thursday onwards. Contact Dom Gardner at OLSC with athlete's name/school age-grp/event. They can do 2 events providing one is a field event, otherwise just the 1 track event. Dom's email is [email protected]

Some athletes might have qualified from yesterday’s yr9 champs and last week's yr10 champs, plus there were some Wolves nominations from other yr-grps which will be considered.

After today there will be no more entries.

Just a gentle reminder that the West Mids Schools Champs nomination form (see link below) for athletes whose area did not host a regional qualifier, whose year group was not represented at a qualifier or whose school did not attend the qualifier, will close next Tuesday 2nd June at midnight, so please make sure athletes get their nominations in. Athletes can double up - maximum 1 track & 1 field event - this will help your area to score points. Also please remember that there are short hurdle races for U16's (yr 9&10 only) and U18's (yr11&12 only) so 6th formers in yr12 can compete in the hurdles. Team manager details are on the "Area Managers" tab of the wmsaa website.

The West Mids Schools T&F Champs will take place at Tipton Sports Academy on Saturday 13th June. Timetable of events is below. Final instructions will be published soon on this page.
