We’ve got some exciting news 🥳

Our phase 1 bouldering areas are getting started VERY soon… with an opening planned for this summer (fingers crossed!) 🧗🤞

We’ve put a lot of thought into the design, trying to create a comfortable, open space with a relaxed atmosphere. Every detail of the layout has been planned with our community in mind - we want this to be your space as much as it is ours!

We can’t wait to welcome you back and see you climbing with us again ❤️

Here’s a bit of a long-awaited progress update! 🥳

Firstly, I hope you’re missing us as much as we’re missing you!! It has been a weird adjustment not having the customer interactions we cherish so much, but it has been wonderful to still see some of you at other centres – for those we haven’t bumped into, we’ll hopefully see you soon!

It has been a very busy few months for us 😅. We have been working hard to dismantle the Wolf you know and love to try and repurpose as much of the materials as we can at our new site. During this time, we have also been getting our outdoor activity park up and running so we can offer even more options going forward! We still have a lot to do before we’re ready to open, but we’re on the exciting part now and we can see a finish line!!

Onto the bit you’re waiting for – the timeline of re-opening:

Outdoor Activities – Late Spring. This will include Abseil, Climbing Challenges, Crate Stacking, Leap of Faith, Low Ropes, Jungle Vines, Obstacle Course, Zipwire and problem-solving activities. We haven’t finalised prices just yet, but if you’re a school or group who would like a discounted session while we get started then please get in touch! 😁

Temporary bouldering – Hopefully Summer! We will have two small rooms of bouldering as well as a dedicated training and gym area. Getting this started has been slightly delayed while we replace a roof on a section of the building, but we’re excited to get it open and offer climbing again! 🧗‍♀️

Long term we will be opening a full climbing centre with what our old site had and more! We don’t have a confirmed timeframe just yet, but are aiming to get that started within 2 years.

📍If you aren’t sure where we’ll be, our new site is located in Kingswood (WV7 3AW). Thank you everyone for your patience during this period. We can’t wait to welcome you back!

Wow, what a party! Words don't do justice to how wonderful the day was. The biggest thank you to everyone who came, you made it fantastic! What a privilege that Wolf Mountain means so much to so many people; the massive sense of community was bittersweet to say the least, but also hugely inspiring for the future! I’m sorry I didn’t get the time to photograph everyone, please send us photos you got of the day, we want to see them!!

We could not have put on such an event without the support of our staff and our directors. I want to personally thank all my staff, not only for working hard in the run up, but for their huge effort on the day – you made this happen! Thank you as well to James on the tunes and Tim on the bar; two people with long histories at Wolf, it was even more special to have you involved.

Thank you to our directors Julian, Cheryl and Niall for manning the BBQ and feeding the masses of hungry climbers – no small feat!! Finally, we are so grateful to Julian and Cheryl for the immense amount of work they have put into Wolf Mountain over the last 20 years, thank you for providing us with a second home.

If you didn’t manage to get a party t-shirt on the day, we are taking one last order (£22 each). Message us with a size and phone number to be added to the list.

Looking forward: we don’t have a timeframe just yet, but we are already working hard preparing the move to Kingswood! We are excited at the potential of our new site and cannot wait to share it with you someday soon.

You are all invited to our Closing (for now) Pool Party on Saturday 13th September!🤿🕺🏻Please join us to commemorate the end of an era. While we do have a future ahead, we want to celebrate the building many of us have known as a second home over the last 16 years. We would love to share one more memory here with as many of you as possible – please make sure to share this with anyone you think will want to come along, not everyone has social media, and we’d hate for them to miss out!

Even though the pool won’t be filled with water (☹️) we want to see your best pool party themed outfits!!🩴🩳 Our staff will be the lifeguards for the day, and we want to see what you can come up with (normal clothes are allowed too). Please keep the fancy dress reasonable – no shirt no service 😳.

We will be putting up some new climbs in the main room, including fun challenges! There will be some new boulder problems too 🧗. We’ve got lots of games and fun things planned to keep you busy and entertained. There will also be a free BBQ, snacks and a bar you can purchase drinks at - all followed up with a DJ in the evening! 🕺🏻

While we’re working hard to make the day fantastic, there’s a couple of things we’d love your help with! We are going to have a guest book for you to write in and a photo board to showcase our wonderful customers over the years ❤️. 1-4PM ENTRY: We are open for entry between 1 and 4PM – anyone paying entry needs to be signed in or have filled out a waiver. We will be closing our reception at 4PM so that our staff can join everyone having fun! If you can’t make it before 4PM, please message our facebook/Instagram before the day to let us know; we can organise getting you signed in 😄.

2-4PM: Caving and archery sessions! 🔦🏹We are doing four 30-minute sessions of caving and archery for people who would like to try out our caving system or archery one last time! Please put your names down for these sessions on arrival – capped at 10 people per session. Caving: min age 6, Archery: min age 8.

4-7PM: Fun climbing, challenges and games! BBQ and bar begin. You will not be able to climb after purchasing any alcohol. We will also have vegan BBQ options and non-alcoholic beverages available 😁

7PM onwards: Climbing finishes and the DJ begins! Games, a bit of boogying and maybe even karaoke if you’re brave enough!?

Tomorrow (Sunday 31st) is our last day open to the public before our party on the 13th! I’d love you to join myself and other staff for a climb from around 2/3pm, followed by some cakes and probably a beer. I’m looking forward to an enjoyable, but sad day with our wonderful customers ❤️

🚨CLOSURE UPDATE🚨

We would like to let everyone know that we are not extending our closure date past August - we will be closing our doors to begin our hiatus at 6pm on Sunday 31st August. Thank you to all our wonderful customers who have patiently supported us during these uncertain times. I would love anyone who can make it on that Sunday to join myself (Zack), and others in sharing a climb, some cake and most likely some tears! If you can’t make it, we’d love to see you at our closing party! ❤️

I will be posting a proper update with all the details, but we are going to have a closing party on Saturday 13th September!! It will include new climbs, fun games and challenges as well as a BBQ and drinks! The theme will be a Pool Party in honour of the building we have called home for the last 16 years! ⛱️☀️
