📅 Tomorrow (Friday) at 12:30pm on Zoom we'll be looking at IGCSE Angles & Parallel Lines.

GCSE maths can feel overwhelming, especially for learners who are anxious, neurodivergent, or have had difficult maths or learning experiences in the past.

That's why my online GCSE maths groups are intentionally small, supportive, and flexible 🌈

Learners can join in using their microphone, the chat box, Bitpaper, or simply listen while they build confidence. There is no pressure to participate in a particular way.

New classes are starting this week and next week, and anyone who joins this week will be able to continue next year at this year's prices 😊

When maths worksheets haven't worked... 🤔

Some learners learn best when maths feels lighter.

More: 🎲 games 😄 fun 💡 confidence-building moments ❓ space to ask questions

Less: 🫠 pressure 📷 camera expectations 🤐 needing to participate in one specific way

Learners can join in their way: 💬 text chat 🎤 microphone 🎲 games 👀 or simply watch until they're ready

Because learning doesn't look the same for everyone.

These small, friendly sessions use maths games, guidance and support to help learners strengthen skills and confidence - especially those who have found maths stressful or overwhelming in the past

Half term... and lots of learners joined today's free maths class! 😊

Thank you to everyone who came along! It was lovely to see so many learners spending part of their Friday exploring maths with us 🌻

We looked at averages and range, working through questions together and discussing how adding different values to a dataset can affect the mean and range. There were some great ideas and questions along the way!

I'm now taking a few minutes to enjoy the sunshine before diving back into some admin this evening ☕☀️

I'll pop a link to a Blooket solo game in the comments for anyone who'd like some extra practice.

Behind every small business is a human 🌻

The past couple of weeks have been emotionally heavy, as I’ve been supporting and advocating for a very ill friend in hospital.

Because of that, a few work things are taking me a little longer than usual right now, including invoices and a few last review week recordings, but they are on their way 😊

Thank you to everyone who continues to show kindness, patience and understanding while I catch up a little more slowly than usual.

It means such a lot 🌈

An “Emerging Talent” badge... with a messy life reminder 😅

Facebook awarded MathsPositive an Emerging Talent badge this week, recognising engaging content and community growth 🎉

I’m particularly grateful for the moment of joy this provided after an unexpectedly difficult afternoon.

Which also made me reflect on how social media usually shows the highlights. Behind the scenes there are still difficult days, messy desks, personal challenges and moments of self-doubt.

I don’t want my page to feel like everything is perfectly polished all the time, because real life usually isn’t 😊 And that goes for my classes too - good learning can absolutely be messy and imperfect.

(I feel like my brain just did some neurodivergent “dolphining” there 🐬😅)

Anyway... thank you for supporting my little business, my maths and neurodivergence ramblings, and the safe, low-pressure learning spaces I aim to create for neurodivergent and home-educated learners 🌻

Free maths games & coffee fuelled gratitude ☕🎲

I’ve been spending today relaxing and recharging after a busy few weeks 😊

But I wanted to pop on and say a huge thank you to a very lovely family who recently supported my free classes on Ko-fi 🌻

I did promise I’d dedicate a coffee to anyone who donated, so this americano with warm oat milk is officially being enjoyed in your honour 😆☕

Your kindness helps me keep running free and low-cost maths support for home-educated and neurodivergent learners, and I really appreciate it.
