A fantastic team performance saw Royal Oak secure a well-deserved victory, with every player contributing across the court.
In attack, GS Beth and GA Brit were outstanding, producing some excellent shooting and converting plenty of opportunities under pressure. Their movement and accuracy kept the scoreboard ticking throughout the game.
The attacking unit was well supported by Maria and Ellie at WA, who worked tirelessly to drive the ball through court, creating space and feeding the shooters with precision.
Through the centre, Vicki controlled the game for three quarters with her trademark energy and vision, before Molly W stepped in seamlessly for the final quarter, maintaining the team’s momentum.
Defensively, Ellie and Abi put in a determined shift at WD, applying relentless pressure and disrupting the opposition’s attacking flow. At GD, Molly W was outstanding for three quarters with strong interceptions and defensive pressure, while Vicki slotted into the role for the remaining quarter, continuing the defensive intensity. Emma anchored the defence brilliantly at GK, making crucial interceptions and rebounds to help keep the opposition’s scoring to a minimum.
A brilliant all-round team performance, with great communication, hard work and determination from the first whistle to the last. Well played, Royal Oak!
