HYROX Berlin 🇩🇪

This one was booked very last minute as I was already going here for a city break - and there just so happened to be a Hyrox here too!

I really wanted to do better than my first one, but just like the UK, Berlin had a heatwave and the hottest day of course was my race day 👍🏼 along with being on my cycle and an adductor injury I ended up just wanting to finish it without making myself feel worse 😅

I still had an amazing time. The venue was SO cool and it was so lovely having my mum and sister supporting me 🫶🏻✨

Now on to training for the next one 😆🏃🏼‍♀️

My lovely client Vicki has been with me for a while now and we’ve made amazing progress in her training!

Vicki’s strength has been going up and up each session - even after introducing running into her already busy schedule ⏱️

I always look forward to our sessions and can’t wait to see what more we can achieve together 💪🏼

If you need help with your training, DM me or fill out my enquiry form and I’ll be in touch 💫

Most people think training more will get more results. Which to some extent it will, but if you don’t rest and recover you will eventually hit a wall.

I took a lot of rest before and after my Hyrox (did you know I did a Hyrox btw?) and made sure my nutrition was on point and I was eating enough to fuel my sessions 🍌

Treat your recovery just as importantly as your training and your progress will soar 🚀

Then vs now…

I said in my last post I used to be very overweight for a very long time. And I was. Over 30kg heavier in fact…

I was so unhappy and knew I wanted to lose weight but at the same time was in denial to some extent - I remember saying to my mum that they must be making clothes smaller now because there’s no WAY I could be a size 16/18.

As I started to lose weight and look back at older photos though I could then see how much weight I had really put on. I think I just didn’t want to fully accept it at the time.

I would also get comments telling me I was just ‘curvy’ and would make a good ‘plus size model’ which hurts to think about now, but I know it would be people trying to respond to me constantly putting myself down without denying the fact that I was overweight.

So if you ever feel like your goals are unattainable or you’re past the point of reaching them, I’m here as proof to say they’re not!

First 10km race in the bag AND a new PB 👏🏼🏅

Milly has worked so hard on her running and in our sessions together. Focusing on strength work and movements to assist her running has not only given her a new 5km and 10km PB, but has also increased her strength and confidence in the gym too 💪🏼✨

WINS ALL ROUND 🖤✨

Proud of you Milly! 🫶🏻

A few from the last couple months ❄️✨

If I’m making one resolution this year it’s to take more photos 😅 I love looking back through them and having little reminders of fun days and moments 🖤

Are you a comfort zone queen? 👸🏼

I know I can be, so I have to make a huge effort to push myself out of it to do what some people find easy. Running seems to be my personality atm but it’s something that I found SO nerve wracking to start both during Covid and again now. In fact doing most things alone outside is a win most days but that’s for another day 😅

But showing up for yourself, whether that’s in a training programme or life, teaches you self-efficacy. The more you practice showing up for yourself, the more sustainable your results become.

Walking into the gym alone, going for a run alone, or trying anything new can feel uncomfortable, but discomfort is a skill. The more you develop it, the more your training, and confidence will grow 🌱

What I eat on a typical day 🍴🫐🥑🍿

It varies but I try to keep things mostly the same - just because I prefer it and it means I can plan ahead more efficiently

Meal prepping makes my day SO much easier - I buy exactly what I need and don’t need to waste time wondering what to have or cook/buy each day

Making your nutrition work around you is the best way to make and sustain healthy habits without it feeling like it’s just another thing to add to your day 🗓️
