Pawprints, Pilates and a Piece Of Cake

Pawprints, Pilates and a Piece Of Cake Spreading the joy of Body Control Pilates to fun loving clients via group or individual sessions. Hello, I'm Trudy and I’m a Pilates teacher.

I love sharing the joy that Pilates has given me with my fun loving clients. I’m not your typical fitness instructor in looks but that just reinforces my belief that Pilates is for eveybody and every body. I aim to use the Pilates method to assist people in learning how their bodies move so that they can get the best out of themselves, whether the goal is general fitness and flexibility or to work

on a specific issue such as back or bone health. I teach from my studio in leafy Wokingham all via zoom at the moment. In less unusual times there is also the ability to visit the studio. I run group classes (maximum 8 via zoom or 4 in the studio) but if you want my eagle eyes to focus on your body I also do 1-2-1 sessions. You can find me in my studio with the dogs & some cake at Pawprints, Pilates and a Piece Of Cake

I'm all about balance, working on our core strength and balance with Pilates, and having a balanced diet that involves cake!

Here's how to make it:
*Break the chocolate into small chunks
*Cut the butter up into small cubes
*Put the biscuits into a plastic bag (or maybe wrap them in a tea towel – an idea to try?) and bash them with a rolling pin to break them into little bits. Don’t make it into crumbs, leave some bits bigger than the others, about the size of a walnut ¼.
*Wash the cherries in hot water to remove the outside syrup then sieve and cut into quarters.
*Line a loaf tin with greaseproof paper. I use pre-formed liners from Lakeland, so much easier than fiddling with the corners of the tin.
*Beat the eggs into a mug/glass
*Melt the chocolate in a big glass bowl. I do this in the microwave on the defrost setting for a couple of mins at a time, but you could also use a Bain Marie (put the glass bowl over a pan of water whilst it boils on the hob – the bottom of the bowl must not touch the water).
*Melt the butter – again I do this in the microwave being very careful to so it in chunks of 10 or 20 seconds.
*Mix the eggs into the liquid mixture. As you mix in the mixture will go a bit grainy but keep stirring as this “cooks” the eggs.
*Mix the biscuits, sugar and walnuts into the chocolate mixture.
*Add the cherries into the chocolate mixture
*Pour/scoop the mixture into the lined loaf tin and then put it into the fridge to set.
3 hours later, take out and have a slice!

Enjoy!

Toning rings…you’ll either love them or loathe them!

They are lightweight resistance rings used to add gentle resistance and feedback during Pilates exercises.

This helps with:
Activating deep core muscles.
Improving your posture.
Control and stability.

So, you may not like them, but they are doing wonders for your body!

What do you think?

A 6-pack does not equal good health!

I get it, you see it all over social media that to be 'fit' you will have a visible 6-pack.

I hate to say it, but there are a lot of factors involved in gaining a 6-pack, and most of them come down to genetics!

Working on your abdominals in Pilates will make a difference, but visceral fat also needs to be reduced if you want to see those types of results.

So yes, we can work on your core, but we can also enjoy cake too!
