Most people think they're failing because they lack motivation.
They're not.
They're failing because they're relying on motivation to do a job consistency should be doing.
January motivation disappears.
Monday motivation disappears.
Holiday motivation disappears.
The people getting results aren't permanently inspired.
They're just consistently showing up.
This week's blog is all about why consistency beats motivation every single time.
Something new is coming...
Over the last few months I've written a lot about:
• consistency over motivation
• ditching fitness industry nonsense
• building habits that actually stick
• stopping the cycle of starting over
That's exactly why I've been building the Unf*ck Your Fitness Collective.
Launch pricing and founder details will be released in mid-July.
If you'd like to be one of the first to hear about it:

No extremes.
No punishment.
No bu****it.
Just fitness that works in the real world.

Big franchises will always exist.
People know what they're getting.
But increasingly, people are looking for something more than a building full of equipment.
They're looking for:
• community
• support
• accountability
• somewhere they feel comfortable
The best gyms don't just provide workouts.
They provide belonging.
And that's something no corporate handbook can manufacture.

Recovery has become performance theatre.
The fitness world has convinced people they need:
• ice baths
• red light therapy
• compression boots
• expensive trackers
But most people don't need more gadgets.
They need more sleep.
Recovery isn't something you buy.
It's something you do consistently.
The basics still work:
✔ Sleep
✔ Food
✔ Water
✔ Rest
✔ Appropriate training
Not very exciting.
But very effective.

People spend so much time chasing happiness that they forget happiness was probably never designed to be permanent.

It comes in moments:
• a walk by the sea
• a laugh with mates
• good food
• music
• dogs
• sunshine

Then it passes.

And that’s perfectly normal.

Maybe the real goal isn’t trying to feel euphoric all the time.

Maybe it’s peace.

Feeling calmer in your own head.

Not constantly feeling behind.

Looking after your body because you respect yourself, not because you hate yourself.

Been reading The Book of Trespass recently and it made me think about the fitness industry.
Not because of workouts or nutrition…
But because of permission.
A lot of people walk into gyms feeling like they’re trespassing.
Like fitness belongs to:
• younger people
• fitter people
• influencers
• people who already know what they’re doing
And the industry hasn’t helped with years of:
“No excuses”
“Summer shred”
“Transform yourself”
The reality is most people don’t need extremes.
They need:
• some structure
• decent habits
• movement they don’t hate
• realistic consistency
You do not need permission to start looking after yourself.
And you definitely don’t need to “get fit first” before entering a gym environment.
The gate was never locked in the first place.
