MIGHTY OAK 2026 CHAMPIONS 🌳🌳

After an insanely hard fought finals we have our Mighty Oak Podiums!
🥇 Rei Kawamata and Lucy Garlick took the top spot!
🥈Followed closely by Sam Butterworth and Izzy Edgington!
🥉Sam Hammond and Willow Petrobelli crushed it and came in 3rd.

All of the athletes who competed at Mighty Oak crushed it! Thank you to everyone who came, climbed, spectated and to all of our sponsors!

There will be some setting disruption in the lead up to The Mighty Oak on the 28th and 29th of March as we reset the whole centre for the competition (sorry!). We will always leave some walls open to climb but please take note of these reduced sets when planning your sessions.

Is February too early to reset the Outdoor Boulder?? We don't think so! Although we might change our mind if the weather is bad on our set day, so keep an eye on the forecast if you're planning a session on the Outdoor Boulder!

Also, we've heard your cries of 'what dates are the rope lines being reset?!' and so will be adding these onto our setting timetables going forward!

We’re having open try-outs for the Oakwood Squad! If you or someone you know is aged 10-17 and keen to join, then here’s everything you need to know:

Date: 14 February
Time: 7:45–10:30
Location: Oakwood Climbing Centre
Ages: 10–17

What to expect:
The session will include a group warm-up game and a 15-bloc mini competition. As well as climbing ability, our coaches will be looking at behavior, attitude, and how each climber works within a group.
After the trial, the coaching team will meet, and successful applicants will be invited to join the squad.
