A cold but sunny weekend down our outdoor range. Yesterday's Frostbite was well attended (the hot soup and bread provided by our club captain was very gratefully received 😋🍞🥣) and today's Bray II providing something a little different for the archers who attended.

🎄 Christmas Shoot 2025 🎄: festive themed targets, a fair number of Santa hats, music quizzing whilst shooting- extra points for those right answers, team snakes and ladders (unfortunately not pictured)...just a few snacks eaten and a revival of the "Archery Shy" with chocolate baubles and coins to aim for.

Thankyou to our Junior Rep/Organiser of events with "Fun" in title for keeping us all in line and bringing the festive vibes 👍

Something a little bit different for our afternoon Junior Coaching Session today- Shooting and Scoring a Worcester Round featuring heart rate increasing star jumps to simulate anxiety/stress (plus shooting whilst balancing a bean bag upon their heads of course) 🤣...then one or our juniors decided his Dad simply had to give it a try...Dad's thoughts on it "I'm not sure I like that very much let's not do it again"

Berkshire County Indoor Championships Weekend 2025 - with archers from the club shooting across both days we've got plenty to be proud of.

Well Done to any of the members who experienced a "first" today...first indoor tournament, first timed shoot.

Well Done to our more experienced members for keeping spirits high, keeping the laughs going and to those from Session A who stuck around to make sure the Session B crew got off on the right foot 👍

SCAS Coaching Conference 2025 - 4 of our club coaches went along to the conference today upskilling themselves on a variety of topics including Technical Framework, Para/Adaptive Archery and Stabilisation.

Nice to see some of our fellow Berkshire Coaches present from Archways TDH and Harlequin Bowmen plus getting the opportunity to make new connections with coaches from Hampshire, Surrey and even further afield in the Southern Region.

Coffees may have been consumed...along with lunch and cake...and more coffee

Sunday is where the action is for us at the club 🎯

Practice time for the members in the morning. Some of us now starting to get ready to move indoors - others hanging on to the last of the Summer vibes and going for the longer distances.

Then session 2 of our beginners course in the afternoon pushed them out to 20yrds, last weeks 10yrds was just not challenging enough...

In a friendly like no other archers from Bowmen of Burleigh, Crowthorne Archers and Old Basing Archers went head to head to head.

The venue Cantley Park.

The prize a most fabulous trophy a.k.a Nuts and Bolts Archer.

Friendly yet competitive banter flying between archers and clubs. A great, social day in the sunshine had by all involved.

Crowthorne Archers were ultimately triumphant ending Burleighs winning streak. Thankyou to all who came and shot, or watched, or manned the catering tents.
