Coaching children isn’t just about football knowledge ⚽️
Understanding the game is important, but it’s only part of it.
How a coach behaves, how they communicate and how they create the environment matters just as much.
1️⃣ Talking less can give children space to think.
2️⃣ Letting mistakes happen is often where the real learning takes place.
3️⃣ Asking questions instead of giving answers helps build understanding.
4️⃣ Treating each child as an individual allows them to learn in a way that suits them.
5️⃣ Allowing freedom to try things builds confidence and creativity.
6️⃣ Being patient allows children to develop at their own pace
The best coaching isn’t about having all the football answers.
It’s about providing the conditions that help each child develop confidence, make decisions and develop in their own way.
