A great start to the 2026 training programme 🇬🇧🎯

After a break over the winter period, it was fantastic to get back on the range for the first Great Britain F Open Rifle Team training weekend of 2026 — time to blow off the cobwebs for coaches, plotters and shooters alike.

As our international visitors will know, Bisley Ranges can deliver some challenging conditions, and Saturday certainly didn’t disappoint — sun, rain, hail and wind all made an appearance. Classic Bisley. Thankfully, Sunday brought calmer weather, giving us a great opportunity to properly evaluate rifles and equipment.

It was an excellent turnout, with the majority of the squad in attendance — a strong start as we build towards the season ahead.

A special thanks to Celt’s neighbour for the incredible carrot cake and lemon drizzle cake, which went down very well with the team!

Throwback to a fantastic result for the Great Britain F Open Rifle Team 🇬🇧🎯

We were proud to win the 16-man International Teams Match at the F Class European Championships 2025, held at Bisley Ranges, UK.

This was the largest F Class event in history, with over 400 competitors in attendance. With the World Championships approaching, the Europeans very much served as a dress rehearsal, with teams travelling from across the globe to compete, test equipment, and gather valuable intelligence.

The 16-man teams match provided excellent preparation, with six nations competing in F Open.

Final scores:
1️⃣ Great Britain – 1162 | 108V
2️⃣ USA – 1162 | 105V
3️⃣ Italy – 1131 | 84V
4️⃣ Ireland – 1129 | 89V
5️⃣ Poland – 1124 | 81V
6️⃣ Germany – 1119 | 86V

A great day out for the Great Britain F Open Rifle Team 🇬🇧

Some of our team members had a fantastic visit to Spitfires.com at Goodwood Aerodrome, formerly RAF Westhampnett, to learn more about the incredible history and engineering of the Spitfire.

Spitfires.com is an organisation that flies Spitfires from various locations around the UK, and we were lucky enough to enjoy a very informative presentation and an excellent tour of the hangar.

A special mention to our captain, Tony Marsh, for organising the trip, and a big thank you to Mark and Sarah for a fascinating and engaging visit!

A thoroughly enjoyable and memorable experience.
