At Colne Bank we have been affiliated to the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) for over 50 years, they are our examination board and provide the syllabi we follow.
The latest ISTD Dance magazine champions the power of a structured syllabus and examinations, with an article written by ISTD President Shirley Ballas and Colne Bank alumnus Matt Cole.
I have taken screen shots of the article and attached for you to read if you are interested….. it’s quite short, but just gives you an insight into our world. Matt works in the West End and worldwide as a Director/Choreographer and is currently the Principal and Artistic Director of the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts.

💃🪩 Let’s Dance is back on the 8 March! We’re once again joining Angela Rippon in her mission to get the nation dancing and hosting a day of free classes at our Upper School in Covent Garden. 🩰🕺

These are inclusive classes open to all ages and abilities. Our goal is to engage as many people as possible, especially those who have never danced before.

This year, you will be able to book a class based on the genre of dance: ballet, musical theatre, contemporary, jazz, ballet repertoire and folk.
