We are so proud of this group of Academy swimmers who made this video with their swimming teacher Steph, to highlight ways you can rescue someone if they fall into some open water!
Remember Reach or Throw, Don't go!
If someone falls into a river or a lake, call for help, dial 999, don't go in after them but do throw something to them that will help them to float like a ball or a plastic water bottle, or reach out to them with a long stick.
With the warmer weather we all need to know how to stay safe around water and what to do in an emergency.

We have had a fantastic time supporting Drowning Prevention week!
Working with schools, parents, Witney and District Swimming Club and all of our swim School swimmers to deliver the important message to enjoy water safely 💦
We want our communities to know how to be safe around water and free from drowning.

Our swimming teachers have been out in the community visiting local schools to deliver Summer water safety assemblies.

The children have been learning about the water safety code, where is safe to swim, beach flags and what to do in an emergency!

Many of the children attend our swimming lessons and they really enjoyed sharing their knowledge with their friends!

The medals and certificates are available to purchase from reception.

With temperatures set to soar, we're opening up additional Swim for Fitness & Swim For All sessions at Woodstock Open Air Pool!

20th & 21st:
Swim For All - 12:00 - 14:00

22nd - 26th:
Swim for Fitness - 09:00 - 11:00
Swim For All - 15:00 - 17:00

It is the perfect opportunity to cool off, enjoy some quality family time, and make the most of the sunshine in our beautiful outdoor pool and spacious grassy sunbathing areas.
