I’ve been reflecting 💭recently on the importance of group fitness and how passionate I have become teaching group fitness and wanted to share my thoughts with you…. So if you already attend a class or you’re thinking of joining, have a little read. I would love to know why you love group exercise classes or why you’re unsure?
Group exercise is more than moving your body alongside other people.
It’s a powerful way to care for your mental health and feel connected to something bigger than yourself. 🧩
Your motivation becomes shared, when your energy is low, others can help carry you forward. Others can create accountability that help you keep consistency which is vital for you to meet your goals. (The instructor will wonder where you are, new connections may want to know how many times you do classes and what other classes you may do)
Exercise realeases endorphines 😊, when releasing regularly those hormones help ease depression and anxiety.
Gain emotional support, share stories, and concerns with others in a safe environment.
You build a community of people all with similar goals. Feel safe, accepted and valued always 🫶🏻
As an instructor I may not always remember your name! But I do see you! I see you showing up, I see you getting stronger 💪🏻 I see you tired 😴 I see you making friends 😊 I see you in your new gym kit wondering where it’s from!!!! I definitely notice when you are not there. So please know this- I am here 🙋♀️ and I’ll keep showing up for you if you keep showing up for me! And together we will be stronger 🫶🏻
