After a well-earned little break, boxing training is back at Hollym Village Hall! 💪

It’ll be great to get everyone back through the doors, gloves on and working hard again.

🥊 Kids Boxing — 5pm–6pm
🥊 Adults Boxing — 6pm–7pm

Old faces and newcomers are always welcome — it doesn’t matter if you’ve boxed before or you’re just looking to get fitter, learn something new and have a go.

🥊 BATTLE AT THE SEASIDE — WHAT A DAY! 📸

The photos are back from the fantastic Tony Anthony Haley 📸 and going through them has brought the whole day back again! ❤️🥊

So many brilliant moments captured — the fights, the walkouts, the crowd, the laughs, the emotion and just seeing so many people from our community all together enjoying themselves.

Battle at the Seaside was never just about boxing.
It was about putting something on for Withernsea, giving local people a chance to step into that ring, raising money for some brilliant causes and creating a day people will hopefully remember.

And looking through these pictures… I think we did exactly that. ❤️

❤️🥊 BATTLE AT THE SEASIDE — MAKING A DIFFERENCE 🥊❤️

One of the biggest reasons behind Battle at the Seaside is using the event to help some incredibly caring and worthwhile charities.

And I’m proud to say we’ve already raised some fantastic amounts. 👏

💙 Nath Iley — £350 for PAPA (People Against Parental Alienation)

❤️ Faz — an unbelievable £1,075 for Martin House Children’s Hospice — absolutely incredible effort mate! 👏

💙 Barry Jackson & Gary Iley — £695 for Andy’s Man Club

That’s £2,120 raised already between just these fundraisers! 🙌

And we’re not finished yet…

Several of our other boxers are still collecting their sponsorship money for their chosen charities, so there will be plenty more donations and people to recognise over the coming days.

This is what Battle at the Seaside is really about. Yes, we put on some brilliant fights and have a fantastic day, but if we can bring our community together and help people who genuinely need it at the same time, then we’ve achieved something special. ❤️

Now that the dust has settled, I wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to every single business that sponsored Battle at the Seaside 2026.

These events simply do not happen without local businesses getting behind them.

🥊 TRAINING UPDATE 🥊

Just a quick update for everyone…

Tonight’s training session will be our last before we take a short summer break.

There will be no training from Wednesday 12th August until Wednesday 2nd September, when we’ll be back as normal.

I’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who’s trained with us, supported the club and been part of the journey. It’s been brilliant seeing so many of you improve week after week.

Enjoy the break, stay active, keep ticking over if you can, and we’ll come back refreshed and ready to go again in September. 💪🥊

Well… where do I start?

After months of planning, organising and plenty of sleepless nights, Battle at the Seaside 2026 is over… and what an incredible day it was.

Firstly, I want to say a huge congratulations to every single boxer. Whether it was your first time stepping through the ropes or you’d boxed before, every one of you showed courage, determination and respect. You all did yourselves, your families and your chosen charities proud. Thank you for trusting me to be part of your boxing journey.

A massive thank you to everyone who helped make the day possible.

❤️ Every single volunteer who gave up their own time to help before, during and after the event. You were the backbone of the whole day and I genuinely couldn’t have done it without you.

❤️ My amazing family and partner, who always support me and help bring these events to life.

❤️ Jon Hilton, who did a fantastic job as MC.

❤️ Our brilliant medics, referee, security team, ring crew, bar staff, Booze Shack, Beast Burger, sweet stall, ice cream van, musicians Ben Joynson and Matt Harvey, DJ Deejayray Walker, Withernsea AFC, East Riding Council, and everyone else who worked so hard behind the scenes. I really hope we’ve helped raise a fantastic amount of money for all of the charities involved. Personally, I’m proud to have raised £350 for PAPA (People Against Parental Alienation), a charity very close to my heart.
I know there was great generosity involved for Andy’s man club and the last count was £675 💪🏼

Finally, thank you to every single person who bought a ticket, donated, sponsored a boxer, shared a post, volunteered, or simply came along to support the event.

Yesterday wasn’t about me.

It was about giving local people a fantastic day out, giving amateur boxers a stage to showcase themselves, bringing the community together and raising money for some brilliant charities.

If people left with smiles on their faces, the boxers created memories they’ll never forget, and the charities have benefited, then that’s what I’m most proud of.

That’s what Battle at the Seaside is all about.

⚠️ IMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION – PLEASE READ ⚠️

As we’re operating under a licensed Temporary Event Notice (TEN) and have a legal responsibility to manage alcohol on site, we’d ask everyone to please respect the following conditions:

🍺 No alcohol or other drinks are to be brought into the event.

🚫 Any drinks brought onto site will be confiscated.

🛡️ Bag searches and security checks will be carried out at the entrance.

🍻 A fully licensed bar will be available throughout the event, serving a range of beers, ciders, spirits, w**e, Prosecco and soft drinks at reasonable prices.

These measures are in place to comply with our licensing conditions, ensure everyone’s safety, and help us deliver a fantastic family-friendly event.
