Witham Hockey Club Established in 1924, our Club - a great family club with 5 mens, 3 ladies, mixed, vets and junior hockey.

We have 5 mens teams and 3 ladies teams, 2 vets teams, a mixed team, 2 indoor teams and a thriving Junior section for age 5 -18. Our home fixtures are played at Witham Sports Ground, Spinks Lane, Witham, Essex CM8 1EP. The clubhouse is just a short drive from the astro and has a great, family friendly atmosphere.

PRE-SEASON FITNESS SUMMER BOOTCAMP
Our resident fitness lads, Joe Nichols and Reece Flint, are running a Summer Bootcamp of fitness sessions in preparation for the season starting in September.

Free and open to all, no matter your fitness level and/or athleticism. It's about personal effort and spurring each other to bring us all up! So please don't think you have to be super fit or even close to that, it's about your own personal improvement. Partners/Players outside of the Club also welcome.

Sessions are 19:00-20:00 at Sauls Bridge Playing Field until the season starts. Joe & Reece will be running a mixture of different types of conditioning sessions to get everyone stronger, have better endurance and be mentally geared up to a more superior level than last season. Again, it's about your personal efforts and improvements but together we can push each other to achieve more.

All you need to do is be there, make sure you wear suitable clothing and bring water.

Set your attendance on Pitchero to help Joe & Reece manage numbers, sessions can be found under your schedule in the app. Unable to access? No worries, simply join the WhatsApp group - details below.

Parking available at the Clubhouse top car park (do not use parking by the Clubhouse itself as the Cricket Club's Ladies train on Thursdays).

O55s MEN JOIN ESSEX FOR WIN AT EAST COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS 🏆
This past Sunday, 12th April, saw a good number of our Mens over 55s representing Essex at the East O55s County Championships. The Witham Men and their Essex teammates took on Hertfordshire for a 1-1 draw and Mavericks for a 0-0 draw, followed up with a 2-0 win against Suffolk and by another 2-0 win against Norfolk! 💪 This fantastic performance secured them first place and coveted title of Champions! 🏆 For the second year running we've been duly informed! 🔥🔥 Great work all and we hope the same magic can be brought for the big semi-final on Saturday 18th April between our Mens O55s and Old Georgians 🏑🦅

FANTASY LEAGUE RESULTS
The season's over and that means it's time to see how you did in the Fantasy League!

It's a conclusive victory for Carl Parkes who has finally taken the Fantasy League trophy after two years of second place! 🏆

Mens 1XI keeper Joe Nichols claims the Goalkeeper's crown with 6 clean sheets to his name 🔥🔥

Jess Larbalestier tops the Defenders leaderboard after a close fought battle with fellow Ladies 1XI teammate Lucy Webb 🏑🥊💪

Midfield sees a strong win from self-proclaimed Mr Awesome, Will Saunders, who takes the top spot whilst also obtaining an excellent joint-top Club Most Assists this season of 16 🦅

Last but by no means least (literally!) is Amy Bedingfield who sits atop the Attackers throne with a staggering 31 goals and 16 assists!! 🥅🏑🔥 Sharing the Club Most Assists accolade with Will and also taking the Club Top Goalscorer this season after a tight competition with fellow striker Adriana Kelidi!
