Witchford Table Tennis Club held another Club tournament on Monday 24.11.2025.

The tournament was based on a doubles format, where all players are allocated predetermined points, before the start of the competition. This means that every point won and lost counts towards the final result. 🏓🏓

Great to see so many competitive games played throughout the evening.

Congratulations to Andrew & Jackie, who were the overall winners. They were closely followed by Ken & Tony, who were runners up.

Well done to all who participated as the competition was great fun. Thanks to Tony E for overseeing the scores and format.

Witchford Table Tennis Club held their third Club tournament on Monday 17.03.2025.

Some very exciting matches were played throughout the evening and it was great to see that so many players could attend and take part.

Congratulations to Stephen & Margarita who were the overall winners. They were closely followed by Peter & Rachel, who were worthy runners up.

Well done to all who participated and thanks to the volunteers for managing the tournament.

Witchford Table Tennis Club held another Club tournament, on Monday 16.09.2024.

It was great to see that so many players could attend and take part.

Lots of very close games throughout the evening.

Witcford Table Tennis Club hosted its first ‘Handicap’ Tournament on 20 May 2024.

With a superb turnout of 16 players, there were lots of excellent matches. All the pairings were evenly matched, with lots of very close matches.

Congratulations to Margarita and Dave who were the overall winners. They were closely followed by Liz and Paul, who were runners up.

Overall, an excellent evening … with the added bonus of some beers and snacks.

WTTC welcomed the largest number of players last week since starting in January. Great to see many players returning on a weekly basis, as well as new players 🏓

They even had time for a selfie 😃😃.

The ethos of WTTC is probably best summarised in the feedback provided by Peter, one of the players.

'As a relatively new resident of the village, WTTC has allowed me to meet people from the local area in a welcoming and inclusive environment. With a range of players of different standards, the club provides me with the opportunity not only to improve my own game, but also to support others in refining their skills as well.

As someone at an intermediate level looking to improve my game, the volunteers, some of which compete in leagues, have been amazing at providing me with personalised coaching in areas I need improvement.

For just £5 per session, including all necessary equipment if required, the club is great value for money, and I would highly recommend anyone to come down and give it a try!’

WTTC continues to see new players each week. Everyone attending the club nights is thoroughly enjoying the friendly singles and doubles games.

WTTC welcomes new players each Monday at the Witchford Sports and Social Club beteeen 7.15-9.15pm. All standards are welcome, including complete beginners.

Bats and balls are available at the club. A fee of £5 per person applies. Currently, the club is for players aged 18+.

Come and have a go on Monday evening. 🏓🏓.

Witchford Table Tennis Club 🏓 welcomed 3 new players last Monday. Great to see all enjoying themselves 😃.

All 4 tables were in full use for the whole evening. Players had the opportunity to play with different people throughout the session, at both singles and doubles games.

The new bats proved popular 🏓🏓.

Join us tomorrow (Monday) at the next club night @ 7.15pm, at the Sports & Social Club.

From absolute beginners, to those that have played before… all are welcome.

Currently, the club is for those aged 18 years+. £5 per person, for 2 hours of great table tennis. 🏓

Be the first to use these brand new bats and see the new nets, by coming to the club night on Monday @ 7.15 at the Sports & Social Club.

We had an excellent turnout last week, so ‘Come and Have a Go! All standards welcome, with bats and balls available to borrow.

Really good to see so many people at WTTC’s first Club session.
