THE RACENIGHT RETURNS ! 🔥🐎

After the success of last season end of the season racenight the club have decided to throw another night to celebrate the season and to raise funds for the 2026/27 season. We are looking for race sponsors, and potentially an event sponsor for the night. Those who wish to purchase a ticket, horse name or jockey please get in touch with the page or with any members of the club. The full details are listed below.

Was always going to be a tough test today , going away to a side sitting 2nd in the top division and with 4 last minute call offs we weren’t helped either. The boys that did turn up were all asked to try a changed system and they done everything that was asked of them and worked tirelessly for each other. A few defensive errors mixed with some decisions that went against us led to them being 4-0 up at half time despite us feeling like we pushed them back and had a good few chances of our own.
The second half we continued to play the way we wanted to and created loads of chances we just couldn’t take on the day. They scored another free kick to make it 5 but we did respond when Kai slipped in Michael who finished well. We continued to put pressure on them but ultimately they did manage to work another goal.
Felt the scoreline didn’t reflect the performance today, especially under the conditions and hopefully the boys can carry the positives from the performance into the league and get the league form turned around.

CAMBUSNETHAN 0-0 GARRISON (CTFC 4-2 PENS)

MOTM: ROBBIE GARDNER

The boys travelled to Glasgow to take on garrison in the west of Scotland cup with fire in their bellies after last week’s disappointment against the same side. Determined to put things right we came out fast in what turned out to be a physical and pretty scrappy 90 on a terrible park. The boys battled well and managed to create a fair share of chances we couldn’t take and were denied at least one clear penalty claim as well. The second half continued much of the same with us dominating the chances but unable to find that cutting edge, we had to make a lot of changes second half due to injury which disrupted our rhythm but the lads kept pushing but couldn’t get the goal and so to pens it went. Robbie in goals hadn’t faced a shot on target the entire game but was ready for it.
We stepped up first and the garrison keeper saved well. They managed to score their first with it just missing Robbie’s leg. Michael stepped up next and slotted his penalty away before Robbie got down well to save the next garrison penalty , levelling the shootout. Kai hit next and initially had his strike saved but their keeper was judged to be off his line and he stayed composed to score the second attempt. The garrison boy after him lost all composure and rattled it wide putting us into the lead. Craig stepped up next and calmly slotted his penalty in before the garrison skipper put his pen into the top corner leaving Robbie no chance. We only had to score to win and Kev stepped up next and drilled his penalty into the bottom corner sending camby into the next round of the West Cup 🟣🟣🟣
