A brilliant day at the fantastic Montrose Golf Links for the annual Pro/Captain qualifier. Unfortunately Wishaw Golf Club won’t be flying the flag for Scotland this year.

Thanks to club Captain Roland Russell for partnering me today, we had it going on the front 9 after turning 4 under. We couldn’t keep it going on the back 9 though and only managed 3 under total.

Well done to Jason and the staff at Montrose for looking after us. Well done also to the PGA Scottish Region for running the event.

Some posture work for young Lewis tonight, never too late in the season to make some good changes.

Lewis was struggling with the dreaded hosel rockets, a quick change to his set up and he was clipping them away beautifully.

Another one coming to the top of the leaderboards soon.

🚨 SILLOTH FUN DAY RESULT 🚨

Many thanks to the 70 golfers who took part in our annual SILLOTH FUN DAY.

Congratulations to Allan McLeary and John Boyle who won the event with a great score of 70.33. They pipped the pairing of Graham and Adam Dobbie on the BIH ruling.

The near the pin on 17th was won by Eddie Pearson. The long drive at 18th was won by Cameron Potter.

Well done to The Kitchen at Wishaw Golf Club for the fantastic BBQ. Thanks also to Cathy and her team for the bar.

I would like to thank my young assistant Gregor for stepping up and running the event. Well done young man.
