At the Clyde Valley Blackhawks, being a team means more than standing beside one another on the field. It means checking in, noticing when someone isn’t themselves, and creating a community where asking for help is met with compassion - not judgement.

You don’t need the perfect words. A simple message, an honest conversation, or the courage to ask, “Are you thinking about suicide?” could help someone take their first step towards support.

Following a successful season built on progress, togetherness and a shared commitment to moving the club forward, we’re proud to confirm that the majority of last year’s committee chose to re-stand and have been voted in once again at our Club AGM (Sunday 6th September).

The continuity within the committee reflects the strong working relationships developed over the past year and a collective belief in the direction the Blackhawks are heading.

We’re also delighted to welcome John Ross as our newest committee member. John joins as Game Day Manager, and we look forward to seeing what he brings to the role as we continue improving the experience around our home fixtures.

Last season gave us plenty to be proud of - but there is still much more to build.

Together again. Ready for what comes next! 💪🏼

💛 WORLD SU***DE PREVENTION MONTH 🎗️

Throughout September, our logo will carry the yellow ribbon in support of World Su***de Prevention Month.

At CVB, community means looking out for one another - not only on the field, but away from it too.

Starting a conversation, checking in with someone or simply taking the time to listen can make a greater difference than we sometimes realise. Nobody should ever feel that they have to face their struggles alone.

Check in on your teammates. Check in on your friends and family. And if you’re struggling yourself, please know that speaking up is a sign of strength.

Throughout the month, we’ll be sharing further information and highlighting the support available - particularly on World Su***de Prevention Day, Thursday 10th September.

After nearly 27 years, a Scotland Men’s American Football setup returns with the Saltire All-Stars - and we’re delighted to see our Blackhawks taking their place as part of it! 💪🏼

We’re incredibly proud to see members of our coaching staff representing CVB at the National level, taking their knowledge, experience and commitment from the Black & Gold to the Blue & White! 🖤💛

Helping develop and showcase some of the very best young American Football talent our country has to offer, and playing their part in shaping the next generation of Scottish football.

A historic return to the National stage, forming the first Scotland Men’s team setup in 26 years and giving Scotland’s best the opportunity to pull on the Saltire once again.

Selection to represent Scotland - whether as a player or a coach - carries prestige, responsibility and enormous pride. To have Blackhawks helping lead the way at both youth and senior level is something our entire club can be proud of.

It’s an opportunity for our members to reflect on the past year, have their say on the direction of the club and help shape our priorities for the season ahead.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along to our end-of-season BBQ today! 🖤💛

It was brilliant to see such a mix of regulars, returning faces and plenty of new ones spending the day together. That’s exactly what days like this are all about - good food, good company and bringing the Blackhawks community together away from the football field. 🏈

An exceptional shift was also put in by everyone who volunteered their time to clear out, clean up and give our facilities some much-needed TLC. What a difference! 👏🏼

And the BIGGEST shoutout of the day has to go to our very own Grill Queen, Gillian Orr 👑🔥 who kept everyone fed with some absolutely fantastic grub! 🍔🌭

There’s plenty more happening around the club over the coming months, starting with our AGM on 6th September as we begin looking ahead to what comes next.

And keep your eyes peeled for details of our Awards Night - always one of the best nights in the Blackhawks calendar! 🏆🍻

Before we officially close the book on the 2026 season, there’s time for another get-together - and this one’s for the whole Blackhawks family 🖤💛

Players, coaches, partners, kids, family and friends are invited along as we fire up the BBQ and bid farewell to another season at CVB.

No pads. No playbooks. No game plan. Just good food, good company and a chance to enjoy being together away from the football field 🍔🌭

The season might be over, but the beating heart of our club never stops! 🦅

Everyone at Clyde Valley Blackhawks would like to congratulate our Head Coach, David Yates, on his appointment as Assistant Head Coach of the Scotland U19 National Programme! 👏🏼

A fantastic and thoroughly deserved opportunity for Coach Yates to represent Scotland, work with some of the best young talent in the country and continue contributing to the growth of the game north of the border.

It’s also a proud moment for our club to see our Head Coach stepping onto the national stage and representing the Blackhawks along the way!
