Konnor…. How proud are we of you…

ECRHA Jubilee Cup weekend….

Due to other commitments from our other coaches…. You stepped forward and took our U14’s to take part…

A few old and a few new…. We knew it was going to be a tough weekend. The competition was strong.

Your energy and passion is above and beyond and you believe in every player on that rink. Your positivity and great attitude to believe in something even when you know that the results may say differently.

You never gave up and showed true inspiration for our young players to believe in themselves and they fought through every minute of every game and came through with 3rd place 🥉

Well done team and well done coach Konnor 👏🏻

🏒 Skaters Jubilee Cup — Day 2

What a day. Tough, exhausting, and full of moments that showed exactly what this team is capable of.

We started against a very capable Kings Lynn side. After going behind, the team fought their way back and held the game at 5–5 until the final 20 seconds, when a momentary lapse in defence allowed Lynn to find the back of the net. A heartbreaking 6–5 loss, but a brilliant battle. Huge respect to Kings Lynn for giving us such a tough game.

Next came Soham Dark Blues. We knew how well-drilled they were, and despite the eventual 14–1 scoreline, it absolutely does not reflect the effort this team put in. They fought for every opportunity and never stopped battling, right until the final whistle.

That put us into a fight for 3rd place against Letchworth. By this point the tiredness was showing, but the team dug deep. Some fantastic possession, intelligent screens and brilliant teamwork saw us come away with a 3–2 victory and secure 3rd place! 🥉

I genuinely couldn't be prouder of every single one of them. They kept fighting, kept believing and gave everything they had.
You earned that bronze. 🥉🏒❤️

And a huge shout out to our very own finley wenn for winning player of the tournament!

🏒 Skaters Jubilee Cup — A Coach's Reflection

What a day.

I couldn't be prouder of this team. Three games, three wins, and a brilliant reflection of the hard work we've been putting in at training.

4–2 vs Soham Light Blue — A rocky first half, but we came out strong in the second, showing fantastic possession and creating opportunity after opportunity. A hard-fought win, with huge credit to Soham for an incredible performance from such a young team.

5–4 vs Letchworth — Down 2–0 at half-time, but the team fought back through excellent possession and screen work. A nail-biting penalty and a goal with just 20 seconds left secured the win. Letchworth played incredibly well and pushed us right to the end.

5–3 vs ECU — By the final game, tiredness was setting in, but the team kept battling. ECU's brilliant attitude made it another tough contest, but we dug deep and finished the day unbeaten.

A special mention to our three younger skaters, who were absolutely incredible. They stepped up, showed confidence and proved they belong alongside the team.

Three games. Three wins. One incredibly proud coach.

Today showed that the hard work is paying off.

Good luck in Germany! 🇬🇧🇩🇪🏑

This Friday, our own senior goalie Andrew Fraser heads to Germany as part of a UK veterans collaboration team for a weekend of European rink hockey.

Andy will be joining players from Colchester Rink Hockey Club ECU Roller Hockey Club, Letchworth Rink Hockey Club and Cambridge and Cottenham Roller hockey club, bringing together plenty of experience from across UK rink hockey.

Wishing Andy and the whole team a fantastic weekend and the very best of luck on the rink! 🖤💛🏑
