🥋 Ohhh… they grow up so fast! 🥹

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of watching Lily Davies grow from a little girl taking her first steps in Tang Soo Do into the teenager she is today.

When Lily first walked through my door, she was very firmly attached to her teddy bear… who, naturally, also had to train with her! 😂🥋🧸
That little teddy was a regular member of the class for around six months! 🫣😂

Fast forward to today and Lily has just been awarded her Cho Dan Bo belt — Black Belt in training. 🥋🖤

Watching this video back really does make me smile. To see how far she has come, both as a martial artist and as a young person, is incredibly special. What started with a nervous little girl and her teddy has turned into years of hard work, dedication, friendship and some fantastic memories.

Lily, you should be so proud of yourself and everything you’ve achieved so far.

And now we look towards the next chapter… I can’t wait for the day I get to tie that Black Belt around your waist. ❤️🥋

Keep going Lily. Your journey continues! 🖤

Saturday brought another very successful grading, and I couldn’t be prouder of these five!

Congratulations to Amy Dean, Simon Dean, Evie Dean, Riley Smith and Lily Davies on earning their new belts. 🎉👏

Every grading is a chance to show how far you’ve come — the hard work, determination, perseverance and hours of training all coming together.

Seeing you all stand there proudly wearing your new belts makes all those hours of teaching, correcting and occasionally being a little bit of a nag 😉 completely worth it!

But remember… with a new rank comes a new responsibility. Your training now needs to match the belt you’re wearing. The higher you climb, the more is expected — and the work doesn’t stop because you’ve passed your grading. In fact, this is where the next challenge begins! 💪🥋

Well done guys — you earned it! Now let’s see you grow into those new belts! 👊

Just back from the North Cambridgeshire Gup grading, and what a day it’s been! 🥋✨
Every single student brought their absolute best, performed fantastically, and did themselves proud—so happy to announce 100% passes all round! 🎉
A massive special shout-out to Lily Davies, who earned the “Most Improved” award in a tough category! 🏆 This is an incredible milestone, as Lily is now a Cho Dan Bo (blue belt / black belt candidate).
Her next grading won’t be in front of our local North Cambs panel, but facing a regional Black Belt Examiners Panel with Masters from across Great Britain! 🇬🇧
That Dan grade is well and truly within touching distance! Keep pushing, Lily—we’re all behind you! 💪 Black belt, here she comes! 🥋🔥

🥋 Μια γυναίκα που μας εμπνέει όλους!
Με πολλή χαρά και ιδιαίτερη συγκίνηση, παρουσιάζουμε την Pelvi Raitio, την πρώτη γυναίκα στην Ελλάδα που κατακτά τον βαθμό 4ου Dan Instructor στην Hellas Tang Soo Do Assoc.! 🥋
Η κ. Raitio αποτελεί ένα πραγματικό παράδειγμα προς μίμηση για όλους μας.
Με καταγωγή από τη Φινλανδία, από το 1983 μοιράζει τη ζωή της ανάμεσα στη Φινλανδία και τη Σάμο. Εκεί, πριν από 35 χρόνια, γνώρισε το Tang Soo Do, στη σχολή του δασκάλου Κώστα Γαλλιώτη. Από τότε παραμένει σταθερά αφοσιωμένη στην προπόνηση και στην προσωπική της εξέλιξη.
Η πορεία της είναι γεμάτη προσπάθεια, συνέπεια και αγάπη για την τέχνη. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε πολλά Master Clinics στην Αγγλία, όπου εξετάστηκε δύο φορές, όπως απαιτείται για την απόκτηση του συγκεκριμένου βαθμού.
Και δεν σταμάτησε εκεί.
Στο πλαίσιο της εξέτασής της, παρέδωσε μια εξαιρετικά απαιτητική εργασία για το Tang Soo Do, έκτασης περισσότερων από 20.000 λέξεων! 📚
Ιδιαίτερα χαρακτηριστική έχει μείνει σε όλους μας η παρουσία της σε ένα Master Clinic, όπου ανέλαβε το ζέσταμα. Οι δυναμικές και απαιτητικές ασκήσεις που παρουσίασε μας εντυπωσίασαν όλους, αποδεικνύοντας την εξαιρετική φυσική της κατάσταση και τη μοναδική της ενέργεια!🔥
Η Pelvi είναι η ζωντανή απόδειξη ότι η ηλικία δεν αποτελεί εμπόδιο όταν υπάρχει θέληση, πειθαρχία και αγάπη για αυτό που κάνεις.
Καταρρίπτει καθημερινά τις δικαιολογίες που κρατούν ανθρώπους μακριά από την άσκηση και μας υπενθυμίζει πως οι στόχοι δεν πραγματοποιούνται με ευχές, αλλά με συνέπεια, προσπάθεια και πίστη στον εαυτό μας.
Μια πραγματικά απίθανη γυναίκα που μας εμπνέει όλους! ❤️
Pelvi, ένα μεγάλο ευχαριστώ που σε έχουμε δίπλα μας και που, μέσα από το παράδειγμά σου, μας θυμίζεις πως:
Οι στόχοι δεν έχουν ηλικία.
Η προσπάθεια δεν έχει όρια.
Και ποτέ δεν είναι αργά για να γίνεις αυτό που μπορείς να γίνεις.

A massive shout out to our very own Sophia Stanton! 🥋🔥
We’ve just returned from an incredible week at our annual European Masters & Leadership Clinic in Nottingham. It was days of intense, demanding training alongside instructors and practitioners from all over the world—including Great Britain, Holland, Sweden, Norway, Greece, USA, Costa Rica, and Mozambique. The spirit, energy, and camaraderie throughout the week were truly inspiring.
A huge congratulations to Sophia, who tested for her next rank during the clinic! She showed fantastic determination, technique, and spirit on the mat, putting in incredible work through days of hard training.
We are all extremely proud of your dedication and achievement, Sophia—keep up the brilliant work! Tang Soo! 👊✨

What an incredibly special evening we had at our little club! 🥋❤️

Master Jovel Zúñiga travelled all the way from Costa Rica, landing in the UK on Thursday and driving straight to our class. By the time he arrived, he had already been awake for around 24 hours — yet somehow still had more energy than all of us! 😂

Over the years, Master Jovel has dedicated so much of his time to travelling the world, visiting clubs, training with students and instructors, and sharing his knowledge and passion for Tang Soo Do.

And we were incredibly honoured to be his first club visit in Europe… but even more special than that, we were his 100th club! 🥹🥋🌎

Master Jovel certainly worked up a good sweat training alongside our little club, but he also took the time to share his knowledge, techniques and experience with my students — something they absolutely loved.

What really stood out, though, was his amazing positive energy. The whole evening was filled with smiles, laughter, jokes and, of course, plenty of hard training!

It was an absolute pleasure and privilege to welcome Master Jovel to our club. We are so grateful that his 100th club visit brought him to us here in Wisbech. ❤️

Thank you, Master Jovel, for sharing your time, knowledge and passion with us. We hope it won’t be your last visit! 🥋🇨🇷🇬🇧
