22 students in total achieved new grades from 3 gaining their first grade after completing their 12 week initial training to 2 achieving very good 1st Kyu

What a day and what a beautiful day.
That’s what played on my music list first today.

And it was a beautiful day.

So super proud of these 5 who gained their Shodan award today. All have their own unique journey and have worked so hard and disciplined.

They have trusted themselves and trusted me as Sensei and made such great achievements.

These are all home grown students they have all been with me from beginners which is so rewarding.

The work in class with other students supporting and helping them as training partners has been key . This is what makes our Dojo unique as we want others to succeed and help them to do just that.

Thank you to Susan Powell Sensei you help and teaching has been so important in the development of all our students.

Some excellent starts from our 5 new students here and equally great results for our 4th and 5th Kyu.

Plus a fantastic distinction pass at 5th Kyu from Ruth.

A room full of talent , enthusiasm and potential.

Thank you for an amazing year . 2025 has been full of challenges for all of us but we have such an awesome spirit in our Karate family we have still achieved so much .

Well that was a most amazing and beautiful grading .
4 beginners and 27 graders from 5th Kyu to 1st Kyu this was an intense senior grading . Which was so pleasing and rewarding.

Most of these have been training many years and worked so hard through difficult times. Trusted themselves and me as Sensei and stuck to the task.

Not given up when things were difficult and have today produced some excellent performances and reached some good levels.

Many trained through the lock down on Sensei On The Telly and I have been so proud of what we have achieved together.
26 years of achievement with Samurai Karate School is amazing .

Congratulations to you all on your results, your perseverance and dedication to your training and self development.

Thank you to Susan Sensei for making such an important contribution to these students .
