We always on the lookout for new players so if you have a child who would like to get involved, please do get in touch with us! Likewise if you’re over 16 and looking for a side please get I’m touch. Our adult side includes a great bunch of lads of all ages and we’re in a new league with a new challenge to get our teeth stuck into. ⚽ PLAYERS WANTED – UPWELL TOWN U9s (2026/27) ⚽

We’re really excited to be on the lookout for 1 or 2 new players to join our fantastic group as they move from U8s into U9s next season!

This is a brilliant, hard-working team full of great characters who love their football, and we’re looking to add players who are ready to develop, learn, and most importantly enjoy the game.

👉 This team is for children currently in Year 3 (moving into Year 4 in September).

At Upwell Town, we pride ourselves on creating a positive, supportive environment where players can build confidence, improve their skills, and be part of a real team. With a UEFA qualified coach, structured training sessions, and competitive matches in the Mid Norfolk Youth League, this is a great opportunity for any young player looking to take the next step.

📍 Training: Friday evenings at Upwell Playing Field
⚽ Matches: Saturday mornings

We’ll be inviting interested players along to a few open training sessions, giving them a chance to meet the team, enjoy the environment, and for us to make sure it’s the right fit for everyone.

VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH - May.

As we come to the end of another month, its time to thank another volunteer for their input into the club.

This month goes to U7's coach Ben Else

Ben has been nominated for his approachable and kind manner towards his team and parents, he is well respected by all. He manages to give up his time, around a job, his 3 children and supporting coaching for his eldest too...
The team are making good progress and the support on the sideline during matches is encouraging and positive to all.

It is also clear he is really enjoying finding friendlies for his team so they don't miss any chance of an extra practice 🤭

James goes above and beyond to support the growth of the club, alongside running his own business and having a family!

For the second consecutive year, our Under 9s have attended the ESF Football Tournament in Skegness, widely recognised as the UK’s largest youth football tournament.

The team had an excellent experience, competing against strong opposition from across the country and achieving a commendable third-place finish in their group.

Beyond the football, the tournament provided a valuable opportunity for players to spend quality time with teammates, siblings, and parents, helping to strengthen friendships and create lasting memories.

Overall, it was a highly enjoyable and successful trip for everyone involved, and the team looks forward to returning again next year. ⚽️

We’re really excited to be on the lookout for 1 or 2 new players to join our fantastic group as they move from U8s into U9s next season!

To help players settle in and match the current level of the group, this opportunity is best suited to children who have had some previous playing experience in some shape or form.
