Fantastic nights Kenpo Karate lessons at the new MKKA Samurai Martial Arts Dojo tonight.

The juniors had a practiced sparing techniques using roundhouse kicks into surprise side kick combination, and pressing forward with jabs and back fist strikes, the kids did great and enjoyed the break from the syllabus after their gradings last week.

Basic night with the seniors working through footwork drills and cross out positions, covering the angles of attack by shielding the head from sunrise attacks, and finely two man sparing drills making use of the earlier footwork training.

The new Dojo is fantastic and has such a great feel to it, I can’t wait for tomorrow’s lessons.

The new MKKA Samurai Dojo is open and ready for use, we are looking for groups such as Taichi, Yoga, Pilates, meditation, keep fit, Zumba etc to rent space during the daytime.

The training area is expansive and the location is in the middle of Winsford Shopping Centre with good access to parking.

ANNOUNCEMENT

We are now open and looking to rent the new MKKA Samurai Dojo to other like minded martial arts instructors.

We are looking for traditional martial arts to come and take advantage of our brand new academy.

LARGE matted training space
Matted pad and bag area
Fitness space
Fully equipped with traditional weapons, sparing pads and body protection

A unique and classical dojo for the serious martial artist.

If interested in renting space for a weekly evening or daytime classes please contact us for set up arrangements.

I am pleased to announce that the brand new MKKA Martial Arts Samurai Dojo in Winsford is now officially open.
This is a much larger and more spacious training space than our previous Dojo.

The new Dojo boasts an impressive 75 mat training area, a pad and bag workout station, a weights and cardio section, as well as being full equipped with all of the pads, sparing equipment and traditional training implements needed to make this a fully functional Dojo.

We are now looking for other Sensei to come join us here and open classes in our fantastic new academy, in particular we’re keen to promote classical arts such as Judo, Aikido, and Chinese martial arts.

We are now back to running our own MKKA classes as shown below.

Congratulations to all of the juniors who successfully passed their gradings tonight in MKKA Kenpo Karate.
The junior gradings last two weeks and the students are tested on an array of aspects from their training, basic combinations, sets, forms, two man self defence techniques, pad work, and sparing, as well as endurance exercises.
Everyone did amazing and they have their new belts to prove it.
Congratulations and well done, I’m proud of you all.

What a day, left early this morning for the drive up to Hull to teach at a seminar for True Spirit Martial arts.

An absolutely amazing day with instruction in practical kata application, some truly brain shaking techniques from the powerful James Luke Sensei of Lyons Shotokan , Aikido, Shaolin Kung fu, fast and powerful Northern Shaolin Chinese martial arts, my student and martial arts brother the high kicking, bone braking Wayne Thomas taught freestyle kickboxing and jujutsu techniques from his Kahen sei system, and I rounded off the day with some nasty fast and flowing Kenpo karate from our MKKA system, teaching techniques such as, Five swords, Thundering hammers, Parting wings, and Shielding hammer.

An absolutely brilliant day which I can’t wait to do again.
A huge thank you to Pat and Brad of True Spirit Martial Arts for inviting us down to share our skills.

Massive congratulations to the seniors who graded in MKKA Kenpo karate tonight. Rihanna Middlehurst and ASA Simons who both achieved their Blue belt grade, Alfie Tabbit who achieved Red belt, and Ross Leslie who graded to his Brown belt.

The grading was not an easy one for any of the candidates and pushed them both physically and mentally, testing their knowledge of everything they had learned up to their current grades, but they each taught hard and achieved the success of their new grades, a massive well done to all.

We have more senior students to grade in the next few lessons, as well as our junior students who have began their gradings this evening, I’m sure they will all do fantastic as well 🥋👊🏻 🐅 🐉
