Winsford Flash Fishing Association (WFFA) A 90 acre Lake fed by the river Weaver. No closed Season!

Peg fees:
£5 for 1 rod per 12 hours
£10 for 2+ rods per 12 hours
£10 night fishing per 12 hours
£5 for non fishing guests.

Today we have met with Northwich anglers and signed a new lease agreement with them.
Therefore, as from the 1st of March 2025, the part of Winsford Flash and the river Weaver that we own will be managed by Northwich anglers.
Only key holder members will be allowed to fish.
All gates including a new one on the sailing club bank will have Northwich anglers chains and locks.

Fishing is currently only available on the sailing club bank and meadow. Thank you.

Sadly due to the lack of action from the insurance companies we are unable to open the Spit for fishing. So unfortunately we cannot host the Flash festival and if anyone from Stockport Waltonians sees this post I am afraid that we will have to cancel their match on 22nd of September.

Sorry, I will update when I know what is going to happen in the future.

It has been noted that people are climbing over the gate to the Spit and fishing overnight.
We are still closed due to the condition of the lane and so this action means that people are trespassing and possibly poaching.
We shall be informing the police and the environmental agency if this continues. We will be taking vehicle details and number plates as evidence and also CCTV footage.
I know that the people doing this may not read this page but those that do let it be known to others that we will not tolerate this.
