If you eat white bread you'll die!
A poster similar to this was up at the gym I joined when I was16. Thank god I burnt my toast so it was no longer white ๐
Obviously you can eat bread, but if you're looking for optimal results, then focus on digestion, absorbtion and elimination! To get the most from our foods we need to be able to digest food, absorb it and p**p it out ๐ everyone's different, some people can't drink milk ect so find what works for you! If you feel sluggish, bloated, not going to the toilet, chances are something is missing or doesn't agree with you.
For example too much oats really bloats me, if I wanted more calories I'd ad a banana, even more calories I'd add almond butter vs having more and more oats. Fats in almond butter would slow down the absorbtion but they are high in calories so don't add too much!
I always mix in protein powder so I'm not missing an opportunity to build muscle ๐
