“Darts night on point”

Well, what a night! A jammed packed evening of arrows saw 58 entrants line up in a bid to take home the coveted Winkleigh Football Club Annual Darts Tournament trophies!

We had darting drama, delight and dignity (until the wine started flowing!) Some sensational form saw new winners of both cup and shield.

The results:
Cup winner: Ben Jeffries
Cup runner up: Ben Tanton

Shield winner: Nigel Parish
Shield runner up: Kieren McGinley

Our Aussie Rules competition (proudly sponsored by The Mad Butchers at Winkleigh / Devon) was hotly contested. With an accumulative score of 260 with 6 darts, Adi Wood took home the £75 main prize! Blair Dennis closely followed with a very respectable score of 240 with his 6 darts!

The club would like to say a huge thank you to all those who supported the evening! These fundraisers are vital to keep the football club running.

The club would also like to thank the volunteers that make the night possible. Running the bar, setting up the boards etc. Too many to name, but you know who you are so thank you!!

Next up we face our local rivals Crediton in the quarter finals of the East Devon Senior Cup.

This is a massive game for the club as we look to try and get some silverware this season. We’re hoping to get a good crowd at the game to be cheering the lads on and go into the next round of the cup.
