Hi all, thank you to everyone who has sponsored me for The Great Norse Run so far, it keeps trickling in which is amazing 🙌🙌
We’re currently at £2170 for the Brain Tumour Research Charity.
My friend Sarah’s company has a charitable foundation and we’re hoping they’ll be able to donate £5k to the pot.
Can I ask does anyone else work for a company that does something similar please? Maybe you could ask if you don’t know, I’d really appreciate it.

Hi everyone, some of you may know that in August of this year I am taking part in The Great Norse Run in Iceland 🇮🇸 This is a multi day endurance event where we’ll be running 210 miles from the North to the South of Iceland over 10 days. Wild camping, river crossings, crazy weather and all that goes with running day after day in extreme environments.
It’s going to be the toughest event I’ve ever taken part in so that said I’m going to be fundraising for The Brain Tumour Research Charity.
All the details of ‘why’ are in the story section of my JustGiving page. I know that we’re all being squeezed financially for obvious reasons but if you could just spare a few ££’s it will all add up for such an amazing cause. Thank you xx

🇮🇸🇮🇸 My 2026 challenge 🇮🇸🇮🇸

Hi all, whilst on holiday last week I was listening to the Chris Evans breakfast show on Virgin Radio UK, he was chatting to an adventurer guy called Danny Bent https://www.dannybent.com/
Danny was talking about an event he runs called the Great Norse Run.
This involves running/walking from the top to the bottom of Iceland!
9 marathons in 10 days, wild camping, river crossings, team work…. It’s got it all.
Long story short ‘I was inspired I signed up’ 😳😳

I’m going to do it for the Brain Tumour Research charity. I’ll explain why in a separate post another day!

📣FUNDRAISING PLEASE READ📣

Hi all, in January with my son Tommy and my pal B-FIT Ascot we’re heading to the Brecon Beacons to take on the infamous Fan Dance, the day after Tommy’s 18th Birthday 🥳
I’m calling it a gift of doing something for others, it won’t be his only present obviously, I’ll buy him some boots as well 😂

🏔️🏔️The Fan Dance – SAS Selection Test. The SF Experience
This is a 24km route march in the Brecon Beacons which is the infamous SAS Selection Test.

The Fan Dance is now over 60 years old and still, today forms the first major hurdle on Selection and an indicator as to whether a potential UKSF soldier has the physical and mental determination to complete it within the cut off time set by the D.S (Directing Staff).

The challenge begins as soon as the race does with an immediate ascent of Pen y Fan which is 2,907 feet (886 m). The route then descends on the other side of the peak with a pathed route to the halfway point before turning around and reversing the route. The return leg provides an even tougher challenge with the evil ascent back up the Fan known as Jacob’s Ladder ⛰️⛰️

I’ve done the event before and it was tough then, I’ll be 51 when I do it and Tommy will be in his prime so there’ll be a fair degree of suffering on my part, that’s worth a few of your pennies surely, the link to donate is below.
