The countdown is on for Colden Common’s Village Fete – “Common Have A Go” and we can't wait to welcome you and your four-legged friends! 🐶🎉

Join us on Saturday 20th June, 12pm–4pm at Colden Common Rec for an afternoon of family fun, community spirit, and our fantastic Dog Show! Simply bring your furry friends along to the arena at 1pm and enter our Dog Show Categories below 👇🏆

🐕 Top Dog – The all-round superstar
🐶 Young Gun – For promising pups under 2 years old
🐾 Mini Marvel – Small breeds with big personalities
❤️ Golden Oldie – Celebrating dogs aged 7+ years
🐕‍🦺 Gentle Giant – For our lovable larger breeds
🤝 Best Handler – Show off the special bond between you and your dog

Whether you're entering the competition or cheering from the sidelines, it's set to be a tail-wagging good time for all!

Our Village Fete is packed with fantastic stalls, activities, games, local groups, crafts, food and entertainment for all ages.

🍰 Treat yourself to delicious homemade cakes and bakes from local community groups and bakers.

🧶 Browse a wonderful selection of handmade crafts, including crochet creations, paintings, beaded jewellery, 3D printed gifts, local honey and even treats for your four-legged friends.

🌱 Meet local organisations and charities including community groups, churches, the Parish Council, Climate Action, the Friendship Club, the Community Centre Association, Twinning Association and more to find out what's happening in our village.

🎭 Enjoy performances and activities from Piqué School of Performing Arts, Stepping Out Academy of Performing Arts and Imagination Time Studio.

🚂 Visit the ever-popular Brambridge Miniature Railway stall and discover the amazing work of the The Colden Common Shed.

🎪 Get involved with fun games and challenges including Play Your Cards Right, a Human Fruit Machine, guessing games, tombolas, welly throwing and family-friendly activities throughout the fete.

⚽ Test your skills with Coach4U's Inflatable Football Dartboard, mini archery, rope bridge challenges and scout activities.

🎨 Add some sparkle with face painting and glitter designs from Ever After Princess Parties.

🐘 Don't miss the amazing Bella the Elephant and puppetry workshops from Play to the Crowd Hat Fair

🎾 Take a swing at the tennis courts with Colden Common Tennis Club

🎡 And of course, enjoy all the fun from J Chipperfield & Sons Traditional Amusements, including Tea Cups, an Inflatable Slide, Bungee Trampolines, candy floss and slushies.

🎉🚌 FREE PARK & RIDE FOR COMMON HAVE A GO! 🚌🎉

Heading to Common Have a Go! this year? Make your visit easier by using our FREE Park & Ride service put on by Friends of King Alfred Buses

🚗 Park for FREE at either:
📍 Colden Common Community Centre Car Park
📍 Colden Common Primary School Car Park

🚌 Hop on the FREE shuttle bus running regularly throughout the event and be dropped just a short walk from the Recreation Ground. Look out for event signs at the bus stops!

✅ Avoid congestion around the event site
✅ No need to search for parking spaces
✅ Convenient and family-friendly
✅ Completely FREE to use

♿ Please note: only limited disabled parking will be available at the Recreation Ground.

🚶The walking route map shows the short walk to the fete for those who prefer to stretch their legs.
