Our Ladies Get Into Golf sessions are back at Hockley this September with Emma Allen

They’re the perfect introduction to the game, whether you’ve never picked up a club before or you’re looking to get back into golf.

Meet other women and enjoy a fun, relaxed introduction to golf. No equipment or previous experience needed!

On Saturday, we saw the annual playing of the Wi******er Triangular, with Hockley competing against South Wi******er and Royal Wi******er. 31 representatives from each club played across the Wi******er Clubs.

We are delighted to have retained the trophy for a fifth consecutive year. A huge thank you to all those who played and braved the horrendous weather conditions throughout the day.

Thank you also to our neighbouring clubs, Royal Wi******er and South Wi******er, for their fantastic hospitality. We look forward to doing it all again next year.

A well-deserved thank you to our greenkeeping team.

We’re delighted to share these kind words from Hockley member Julie Finn, who recently praised the condition of our greens and the hard work that goes into maintaining them.

Keeping a course in exceptional condition, especially through challenging summer weather, takes real dedication.

A fantastic day for the Peter Dawson President’s Day, with a great turnout from members across the club.

Congratulations to our winners Megan Jones and Victoria Kalnovic, and to runners up Harriet Girdlestone and Elizabeth Dunn. Seeing four of our girl junior members finish first and second is a real testament to the strength of our growing junior section and the work being done to develop young players at Hockley.

Thank you to everyone who supported the day, and we hope you all enjoyed it. We’re sure there were a few very proud parents watching today’s results.

Jack, one of our greenkeepers, demonstrates the best way to rake a bunker after playing your shot.

Smooth the area you’ve played from, remove your footprints, and always rake away from you to leave the bunker in the best possible condition for the next player.

A simple part of the game, but one that makes a big difference to the course and to everyone playing it.

From outstanding golf and friendly competition to catching up with familiar faces, this year’s event was another memorable occasion in the club calendar.

A fantastic day at Hockley hosting our 2026 Men’s Invitational Day.

Congratulations to this year’s winners, Duncan Barlow and David Medhurst, with a fantastic score of 46 points, beating Andrew Fenning and Nick Harley on countback.
