It is the Clarendon Marathon in two weeks and it’s a great way for 11th Wi******er to raise some useful funds. Don’t worry, we are not asking you to run it, but could you and / or your children spend an hour or two helping as 11th Wi******er gets paid handsomely for our services.

What is needed:
Baggage Reclaim
We need many hands to help to get all the runners bags off the buses, put them in order and then hand them out to the correct runners as they return. Scouts, Cubs and Beavers have all enjoyed this challenge in the past and having parents involved make the process run smoothly (especially when getting the bags off the buses).

Water Station at Pinsent
We need some volunteers here to hand out water and jelly babies to those runners who need a final lift before the finish. This is great fun as Nick will be up there with his van blasting out music. The scouts who have helped before have really enjoyed this.

We are just one week away from our annual Bonfire Party on Friday 2nd November at the Log Cabin, 6.30-9pm. This is a great family and community event and our biggest fundraiser of the year for 11th Wi******er Scout Group.

There is a huge box in the meeting room at the log cabin waiting to be filled with your donations this week.

Cubs - please donate nearly new toys in there.

Scouts - please donate chocolate bars for the chocolate tombola

Parents - bottles for the alcohol tombola.

These need to be in there before Friday so we know what we need to buy to supplement the donations.

Explorers and Parents
So far we have only had 8 volunteers for help on the night. Could you please sign up to run a stall or mind the bonfire for an hour https://doodle.com/poll/mabqacnvk6pyrbc6

Beavers
Please bring items for the cafe. We need cakes, biscuits, chocolate apples etc. Basically anything yummy we can sell on the night. These can also be dropped off at the scout hut during the afternoon of 2nd November is this is easier.

Thank you to everyone who made tonight's Bonfire Party such a roaring success.

It is fantastic to get our community together and work as a team to have fun and raise funds at the same time. Well done and thank you to everyone who took part and supported 11th Wi******er.
