✨4th placed female!✨
✨For me being able to do and finish any race these days is a privilege. Being a mum of three who also works has its challenges in terms of being able to train and even get to events. My job helps in terms of fitness, but teaching 25 classes a week also means my body gets little time to train and let my body recover.
✨The post-partum aspect: After having children the body changes. I really struggled after having my third due to changes caused by the pregnancy and labor. I am lucky to be trained in post-partum fitness and know what exercises to do to help me regain some sort of fitness. (Hence my passion for buggy workout and helping mums regain their fitness levels!).
✨The race: the swim- similar time to 2022… I didn’t push it and it felt ok! The cycle felt great and I did it 8 minutes faster than last year! The run didn’t feel good 😂 but I also improved my time from last year by 4 minutes- so pleased.
✨I am absolutely no where near my pre baby times, and due to work commitments may never get there… but it is moving in the right direction!
✨Post partum fitness is a journey. It is one that is different for everyone. There is no specific time to get your pre baby fitness back. Just time. Your time, your way.
