🦄Hickstead Masters, Premier League & CDI 🦄

I was very proud of VIP on day one, where we produced a good test qualifying for the music the next day. It was special to have my dad, 101-year-old grandma and Hamish 🐮 there to support me. ❤️

Unfortunately, during the freestyle, tension crept in, impacting our score, and day three proved similarly challenging.

It’s difficult when shows do not fully reflect the hard work being done at home, but it’s all good experience.

With it also being Mental Health Awareness Week, it felt especially relevant as May is an emotional month for me, with a lot going on behind the scenes. Sometimes showing up is an achievement in itself which isn’t necessarily translated in the score. 💕

Alongside my own riding, I also showgroomed in the CDI for two lovely horses, (and plaited up some others) both of whom achieved excellent results. 🙌 It was so great to see a couple of my other showgrooming clients competing in the CDI achieving fab results also! So so pleased for them 🥳

It was also fantastic to see both of my trainers, .equestrian and win their respective classes. 🔥

I’m incredibly grateful to be surrounded by such supportive and knowledgeable people, and lovely clients 💕

Wow what a busy 2 weeks! 😅
A total of 22 times plaiting up!! 🪡

Firstly VIP did his first music class in 4 years 😱 We had so much fun with our new E.L.O and Beatles PSG music (thank you Claire.) 🎶

Then off to the Winter Championships for 6 days looking after 4 lovely horses, and transporting 1. All getting fab results with some prize givings 🏆

A few days away from Addington, spent riding, clipping and teaching!

Then return to Addington for the Premier League for 3 days where I had 3 clients and 4 horses with 3 horses in the same classes! 😵‍💫 It took some serious planning on my part! Again all getting great results and some prize givings 🦄

Then a quick turn around yesterday to go and run the 10km at the UK trail running festival at St.Giles with my Dad. 🏃‍♀️ My first 10km trail and only missing my PB by 1min, set earlier in the week on road, so very pleased!

Now for a slightly less hectic couple of weeks before Hickstead 💪

Unfortunately with the increase in diesel prices I am forced to increase my mileage charge, with immediate effect.
I am hoping, as we all are, this will be a temporary change, until prices start to fall.
Car and lorry mileage will increase by 20p/mile.

It’s been a busy start to the year, so I’ve been a bit quiet on my socials recently! And not taken many photos!

🏆 Show grooming at British Dressage Regionals and Area Festivals with clients getting some direct qualifications and wild card worthy scores
✂️ Many many clips and tidy ups as we come out the other side of winter - hopefully 🤞
🚛 Horses transported around the country to new homes, clinics and shows
🐴 Horses schooled for clients
👩‍🏫 Lessons taught - clients showing so much progress over the last few months
👩‍⚖️ Judging some lovely combinations.

Amongst this - VIP went out and did his first PSG, since Wellington CDI, which he thoroughly enjoyed! Looking forward to the season ahead with Mr Perfect 🤩
Livvie continues to train on and hoping to show all our hard winter training off in the white boards in the Spring. 💁‍♀️

I’ve started running again 😅 If you didn’t know, I was a keen runner having completed the Paris 🇫🇷 and New York 🇺🇸 Marathon, before injury.
I will be running the Berlin 🇩🇪 Marathon at the end of September for Marie Curie 💛 so if I’m walking funny before (and indeed after!), you will know why!
I also managed to squeeze a break to the 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Highlands for some R&R and now ready to crack on! 💪

It’s been a busy few weeks with the Area Festival Championships, local shows with clients, riding clients horses, clipping season has started!, coaching, training and competing VIP and Livvie ✨ Whilst fitting in a couple of relaxing days spent with my godmother who was over from the U.S.A 🥰

It’s definitely had its up and downs personally - but am feeling very gratefully to have such lovely clients, friends and two happy horses 😊❤️

I am away this week on holiday but back to work Sunday. I have very limited availability week commencing the 20th.

Please make sure you book in for your second clips sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.
I am away the afternoon of the 11th November and back to work Monday 17th November.

🍁 Important Update 🍁

EDIT: I will continue to cover the RG28 area and be accepting new clients in this area

From 1st November, my home address will be in the GU34 area.

I understand this may be further for many of my clients, so I will continue to calculate mileage from the RG28 area - where my horses are remaining- including for lorry transport.

In the rare case where it’s more practical to calculate car mileage from GU34—or if specific circumstances require it—I will always confirm this with you in advance of any booking.

It’s been a bit of a hectic few weeks! 😅

With clients there’s been Area Festivals, Arena Hires, Day clinics, horses off to boarding school with their jockey and the National Dressage Championships! On top of the usual riding, coaching and clipping (the season has started!)

Well done to everyone for their results at shows - always a pleasure show grooming and safely transporting your horses - and big milestones for others during day outings.

Amongst all this I adopted 12 weeks old ‘Luna’ from the dogs trust - once she’s all settled in she will be joining me day to day. Both horses have been training and competing ❤️ Livvie continues to act like a pro out and about and VIP is trying to tell me that even though he is 14 now, he still can be cheeky 🐵 Then I had a quick turnaround getting back near midnight yesterday from the Nationals and straight into the New Forest 10K today 💪

I’ve got some availability over the next couple of weeks. Afterwards I am away from the 26th -29th for a short trip visiting my French grandmother, and will be ‘out of office’.
