National news out today...

1/4 of children can't swim 25m by the time they leave primary school - this figure is significantly lower for disadvantaged children.

This statistic is shocking but sadly not surprising. We desperately need QE pool open again, so that a generation of children won't be failed.

All primary school children should have access to free school swimming lessons!

Children at schools with more pupils on free school meals are less likely to leave able to swim 25m, data suggests.
