Welcome to Canford Real Tennis Club. Established in 1879. All new players welcome! We are a friendly and social club and welcome players of all abilities.

Established in 1879, a premier real tennis club with over 100 members, excellent facilities and experienced club professionals. Today the court is actively used by both Canford pupils and by it's outside club members. Our two professionals are always at hand to help guide you through the intricacies of the game and the array of club activities available throughout the year. We really want you to feel comfortable and enjoy your time at Canford, with a chance to improve and have fun on court, as well as meet an eclectic group of new people. Ever wanted to give real tennis a go?

Join us at Canford for the Real Tennis National Open Event — with free introductory group lessons, a Skills Night and a Professionals’ Exhibition Match.

Friday 2 October
• 10am–12pm — Group Intro Lesson
• 2pm–4pm — Group Intro Lesson
• 6pm–9pm — Skills Night & Professionals’ Exhibition Match

Saturday 3 October
• 10am–12pm — Group Intro Lesson

All ages and abilities welcome. Maximum 8 players per group session.

The Friday Skills Night includes complimentary food and drink, fun challenges and the exhibition match — pop in at any point during the evening.

Congratulations to Tim on a hard-fought win over Timon, coming back from a set down to win 4–6, 6–4, 6–4.

A proper nail-biter right to the end. Well played both!

Canford Club Champion - Frankie Binns 🏆
Runner up - Chris Swan

Chris made a valiant fight back from 5-1 down, but Frankie held his nerve to take it 8-5.

It was a dominant display from the young buck throughout the competition and the youngest ever winner of the club championships. He will definitely be one to watch over the coming years!

We also wish him the best of luck in the World Juniors next month! 🤞🙌

Congratulations Vincent on your hard earned victory defeating Russell 6/4 6/2 in the final of the B-Grade. It was a great match to watch with a few unbelievable rests!

Our Night Pennant Champions - Team A! 🏆

Congrats to Teddy Walker, Jack Wilson and Will Moreland, as well as Greg Davis for being a pivotal super sub 🙌.

It was 3-3 in matches and went down to count back on games, with Team A taking the title by a single game!

Commiserations Hon, Rohan and Pete, but thanks for making an amazing final 👏 .

It took a while, but huge congrats to our Summer Cup Champions - Tim Haworth and Nick Draper! 🏆

Momentum could have swung in Hon and Pete’s favour in the doubles, but it wasn’t to be and a winning gallery from Nick at 7-7, 40-30, clinched the title.

A fantastic Real Tennis exhibition hosted on Sunday 🎾

A huge thank you to Ben, Bryn, John and Rob for coming to play and showcasing such an incredible level of Real Tennis for everyone to enjoy. It was brilliant to see our students share some court time with them — a great experience all round.

And a massive thank you to Jeremy Mills and Millskeep for very kindly sponsoring the event.

If you fancy giving Real Tennis a go yourself, we are hosting a free tryout session this Saturday (25th of April) and next Saturday (2nd of May) from 10am to 12pm. Scan the QR code on the final slide for more info.

Massive congratulations to our Senior Boys House Squash Champions - Lancaster! 🏆

Final result: 3-2

The first time in many many years a day house has taken home the title 🙌.
