We lost a big part of our club when this man passed away, we will be having a game in his memory and we would love to see as many of you as possible 

At the start of June, we were hit with the devastating news that Stephen Fox had passed away. An incredible educator who gave up 28 years of his career to both RBA, but more widely, the community of Shefford. We will be celebrating Stephen’s life with a memorial football match on Friday 26th September at Shefford Sports Club. The match will involve current RBA and SWA staff along with ex teachers, ex students and other key figures from the community. Entry will cost £5 with the proceeds going to a foundation which has been set up in Stephen’s name. Should you wish to sponsor the event, please get in contact with Mr Marshall on [email protected]. Volunteers are the lifeblood of all grassroots clubs. But many clubs are struggling at the minute - not just for coaches but for other roles within their clubs.

Parents, you need to become proactive in helping to run the club your kids play for, don't sit in your cars till others have put the nets up, be active in helping raise funds and offer support.

The coaches & secretaries do not turn into superhuman people when they accept the voluntary role of running your club, sooner or later they will get tired of all the excuses and then there will be no team.

If you can, help support your club!

Wilstead FC adult team have a cup quarter final at Jubilee Playing Field 6.15pm kick off this evening (Tuesday 1st April).

After almost 60 years in the Bedfordshire league, the team was on the verge of folding back in October, with only a handful of regular players. Thanks to the tireless work of the manager, the team has risen from rock bottom to fourth in the league and a cup quarter final. The squad size has increased dramatically and the club is on its way back.

The support of the village in tonight’s match would be very welcome ⚽️☀️🍺
