Dear parents, families and friends,
on behalf of the exec members at WWFC and all people involved in the club, I would like to thank you all for supporting the awards / tournament day last Saturday. It proved to be a huge success, albeit half a day in the sunshine and half in the drizzle! We were delighted with the attendance, and it was great to see all of the children having fun and enjoying the games with great enthusiasm. I'm also delighted to tell you that we made £3,287.00 on the day, a brilliant outcome that we will use to make the kids experience even better next season. Remember that the raffle will be drawn on the 8th June (don't lose your tickets!) at the seniors awards evening at Westholme and the results published widely thereafter. Tickets are still on sale btw! So again a big thanks to you all and also to the club members that arranged and ran the event, well done you really nailed it! Yours in sport.... How to win the Secretary's Cup.
Mature, controlled and assured. Oh and a lot of work in training 😁.
Wilpshire Wanderers U14 Blue controlled the game, broke at pace and limited the opposition's chances due to the great organisation and determination of every player. As the game progressed we got stronger and in the end a 2 - 0 win didn't do the team justice.
Great performance from Finley in goal, safe hands, dominated on set pieces and showed great character under pressure. Deserved MOM.
It's been a great league and cup campaign, one to be proud of. Silverware is the cherry on top.
Thankyou too for the fantastic support from parents, both today and throughout the season.
