Phillippe Albert will be fondly remembered by Newcastle fans for if nothing else, a sumptuous lob over Peter Schmeichel on their way to demolishing Manchester United 5-0 in October 1996.

Albert was quoted as saying "...when I got the ball I knew there was only one thing to do – to chip it. And it was perfect. Everything was perfect on the day."

Since retiring in 2000 back in his native Belgium, Albert has since made the odd appearance as a TV pundit there, but focuses his time on his fruit and vegetable business.

Spending most of his career at Galatasaray, Hakan Şükür was one of the most prolific strikers in modern times, including being Turkey's all-time top goalscorer with 51 goals.

In February 2016, Şükür was charged with insulting the president of Turkey on Twitter and has also been charged with being affiliated to a group designated as a terrorist organisation in Turkey.

He fled Turkey in 2017, settled in the USA and in January 2020, he was quoted saying that he was working as an Uber driver.
