Wilmcote Sports & Social Club We sell a variety of drinks, draught beers being Carling, Gaymers Olde English Cider, Guinness, Worthington, Brew XI as well as a Guest Real Ale.

A friendly drinking establishment in Wilmcote that has facilities such as a main bar and function room, snooker and pool tables, dartboards, and facilities for air rifleshooting. This is a friendly drinking establishment that has the following facilities: A snooker table, dart boards, a pool table, a large screen TV and a function room for hire. The function room can hold 100 people and has been used for various functions including parties and wedding receptions. There is a basic kitchen available for use if required. The function room is available for hire from £30 to members. The club membership costs £10 a year which considering the cost of the beverages in the club is a bargain. The club is managed by a committee and the bar is manned 25% from the committee voluntarily and 75% from our paid employee, the lovely Julie. We currently have the following sporting activities at the club on a weekly basis:
Monday - 2 darts teams in the Stratford League
Tuesday - 2 ladies darts team in the Stratford Ladies League.
1 Snooker team in the Stratford Snooker League. Thursday - We have 2 teams in the Stratford Airgun League. We also host Bingo on a Friday night in the function room. We also have WI-FI at long last. Why not pop your head through the door and have a look for yourself, you never know you might just like what you see.

Following on from our successful first car boot sale at the club, we are pleased to announce that we are repeating the event in September. Come along and turn those unwanted items into cash, or why not grab yourselves a bargain. Hot and cold drinks are available, plus lashings of bacon or sausage rolls. We are open to the public at 9am, and car booters need to be on site by 8:45am. Only £5 per pitch!

One of the suggestions that cropped up in the community survey was that people would like to see the club extend its opening hours. In order to test the real demand for this, we are going to open the club from 12pm right through to 11pm on Sundays, starting Sunday 9th August. If this proves to be genuinely popular, it will remain a feature.

Everything is set in place for Wilmcote Club's inaugural car boot sale. The event will take place on Sunday 16th August. Booters will be expected to arrive no later than 8am. The fee is just £5.00 per car. We do have a limited quantity of tables that booters may use, but it's first come first served on those, so bring one yourself if you can. Food and beverages will be available, so that's breakfast covered.

An update on the Wilmcote Sports and Social Club's Community Survey.
We had a truly marvellous response from the community towards this outreach, with over 170 respondents. As promised, we will be publishing the findings of the survey, together with the responses from the club committee, both here, and on our page, within the next week. Those who have requested a response by email, or by post, will also soon receive it in the coming week. Once again, we thank those who took the time to respond to the survey, and we look forward to keeping up the conversation with the wider community.

This weeks fun quiz at the club is hosted by yours truly. The quiz consists of five rounds of ten general knowledge questions, plus a "Who am I" round, and a picture round. The quiz concludes with a music round of 20 TV themes (some from when even I was a nipper). It would be wonderful to see new teams coming to join the regulars. Sunday 8pm, see you there folks.
