Fancy giving bowls a try? Join us this June!

Every Monday evening in June we're opening the green to anyone who'd like to come along and give bowls a go. It’s completely free of charge, no experience needed.

From 6pm every Monday throughout June, our qualified coach will be on hand to show you the ropes in a relaxed, friendly and completely pressure free environment.

Whether you've always been curious about the game, are looking for a new way to spend time outdoors this summer, or simply want to try something different, this is the perfect opportunity.

Just turn up from 6pm. There’s no need to book, no equipment required. All you need is flat soled shoes and a willingness to have a go!

Women's Social Bowls is coming to Willoughby Bowls Club!

Fresh air, friendly faces, and a fun new way to spend an hour outdoors this summer.

Here's what to expect:

An hour of relaxed, easy to learn bowling on the green
Followed by drinks and a catch up in the clubhouse
Complete beginners to experienced players - all women are welcome

✨Your first two sessions are completely free - just turn up and give it a go!✨

📅 Our first session is this Tuesday 5th May at 2pm - we’d love to see you there!

Sessions run weekly but won't fall on the same day each week as we work around match days, however we’ll also be posting each week's session here on the page. Please follow along.

Whether you come on your own or with a friend, you'll be made very welcome. 😊

We're back!
Last night saw Willoughby Bowls Club take to the green on a sunny, if chilly evening for the first time this season. We headed to Barnstone for a pre-season friendly, and what a way to get going!

After a long winter away from the green, it was brilliant to get the cobwebs blown off and the woods rolling again. These early friendlies are such an important part of our season. They are a chance for everyone to shake off the rust, and remember just how much we love this game.

And it wasn't a bad start either. Willoughby were the winners with a 72–54 victory. Well played everyone involved! 👏

The league season proper is just around the corner, but for now we're enjoying being back out there. There's plenty more to come from us this season - both on the green and off it - so if you're not already following the page, hit that follow button and stay up to date with everything happening at the club this season.
