People switch to “healthy eating”…

Here are the most common hidden mistakes:

🍯 “Healthy” foods that are still high calorie
Nuts, oils, granola, smoothies, avocado… all great foods, but VERY easy to overeat

🥤 Liquid calories sneaking in
Smoothies, juices, fancy coffees… they don’t fill you up like real food but still add up fast

Most people imagine growing food as something simple…
Plant a seed 🌱 → water it 💧 → harvest fresh vegetables 🥕

In reality?
It’s a lot more challenging than it looks 😅

I’ve been learning this myself through my own growing space, and I can honestly say — it takes patience, trial and error, and a lot of consistency 👊

Here’s what makes it harder than people expect:

🌦️ Weather doesn’t care about your plans
Too much rain, not enough sun, sudden cold snaps… nature is in charge 🌧️☀️

🐛 Pests & problems appear fast
One week everything looks fine… the next something has eaten half your plants 😬

🧠 It requires planning
What to plant, when to plant it, where it grows best — it’s not guesswork if you want results 📅

💧 Consistency matters
Miss a few days and you can lose weeks of progress

⏳ It teaches patience (a lot of it)
You can’t rush nature… no matter how busy life gets

But here’s the important part:
It’s still one of the most valuable skills you can learn 🌍

We’re finally getting some proper sunshine here in the UK 🇬🇧☀️
Perfect weather for BBQs, garden gatherings, long walks and making the most of the evenings 🍖🍻🌳

But while we enjoy the heat, remember that hot weather can be tough on our furry companions 🐕🐾

A few simple things can make a huge difference:
💧 Keep fresh water available at all times
🌳 Make sure they have access to shade
🚶‍♂️ Avoid long walks during the hottest hours
🔥 Be careful with hot pavements — if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws
🍦 Frozen treats and cooling mats can help keep them comfortable

Our dogs rely on us to keep them safe and cool ❤️🐾
