Drowning Prevention Week started today, and what a fantastic start it has been! 🏊‍♀️💙

We are incredibly proud of all our little swimmers today. They showed great determination, listened brilliantly, and coped so well with the activities and water safety challenges we introduced. Seeing their confidence grow is exactly what this week is all about.

Drowning Prevention Week is a national campaign dedicated to raising awareness of water safety and helping children develop the skills and knowledge they need to stay safe in and around water. It's a wonderful opportunity to reinforce lifesaving messages while building confidence in the pool.💛

Morning all HAZELBROOK TAUNTON swimmers, your drowning prevention week starts this Sunday. The below note has also been sent via email.

Once again, Rubber Ducks Swim School is taking part in the RLSS National Drowning Prevention Week campaign.

The campaign will run from Sunday 14th June to Friday 19th June. Posters are displayed at the pool and on our page.

We are asking all children to come to their swimming lesson wearing pyjamas.

* Please wear pyjamas over swimwear, as pyjamas may not be worn for the full lesson. This will depend on how the children cope in the water.
* Please be kind to your children and choose lightweight summer pyjamas rather than heavy winter fleece, as these absorb a lot of water. (NO ONESIES)

Baby, Tots and Pre-School classes – this includes you too! Parents are also welcome to join in if they would like to.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Throughout the week, we will also be sharing water safety activities and facts on our page, along with fun photos of what the children have been getting up to during their lessons.

3.30pm non swimmers
4pm multi stroke
4.30pm water safety
5pm skills booster

Willand pool, we will also be offering 121 lessons and family lessons great if you have multiple ages and want them at same time.

Taunton Hazelbrook pool
Week 1 = 28th - 30th July
Week 2 = 3rd - 5th August
Week 3 = 17th - 19th August

9.30am non swimmers
10am multi stoke
10.30am water safety
11am skills booster

We will also be adding family swims to our Hazelbrook timetable.

We offer classes for all ages from baby 6 weeks old to our older children up to about 10yrs old.

Did you know we also offer 8+ yrs learn to swim spaces too. So perfect if you have an older child wanting to learn.
