Our last session of the summer was a fab one!

The sun was out and lots of families enjoyed spending quality time together in our woodland.

A shy great diving beetle was found. It clearly didn't like the sunshine - zooming to hide under the leaves in the dipping tray.

Lots of spotty ladybirds were created and some natural photo frames were lashed together.

We'll be back with more family forest fun sessions during October half term.

Extra Family Forest Fun session now available!

Due to popular demand and all our summer sessions being fully booked we now have an extra session available on Friday 21st August at 10am.

More family forest fun today!

Elder branches were transformed into woodland jewellery. Hide & seek was as competitive as usual. Gruffalo snakes sprang into life. Slack lines were balanced on and, of course, hot chocolate and s'mores were enjoyed.

A slippery newt managed to make a daring escape during pond dipping. Dens were constructed, crafts were enjoyed and there were smiles all around. Fantastic!

Our last day of the school year was another active one, this time with Falcons class from Pennine Way Primary School .

The woodland has more Andy Goldsworthy inspired land art pieces dotted around it.

Most importantly, more children have experienced the benefits of being outdoors in nature, exploring, communicating and learning in the great outdoors.
