A wet day out for these pupils and their teachers. Not being able to do Scafell Pike, we instead headed out from Borrowdsle YH and up to High Spy, Maidenmoor and Catbells returning by way of Grange and back to the YH.
The rain did not deter the group of youngsters and although some found it really hard and tiring they all loved the big puddles and took every opportunity to jump, kick and splash at everyone they came across πŸŒ§πŸ’§πŸ€£
Wet feet was had by all and not a grumble to be heard.
Who said its not fun in the rain.

A wet day of another kind. πŸ€ͺ fun in the ghyll with this fab family, working for Hayleywebbadventures, with the brilliant Jenny Millen.
We had family members who had not gotten wet enough the day before bagging Loadpot Hill, so a dip in the cool waters of the ghyll did the job of a thorough soaking.
I must say although we had a few who were getting really cold they all decided they were going to carry on.
There was lots of laughter and the young ones threw themselves into it with gusto, as youngsters do πŸ€£πŸ’¦
There were a few doubts about the jump into the so called corkscrew... and after some persuasion and cheering on from the younger members (and not wanting to be teased forever after) all did indeed jump. πŸ˜‚
So with dithering legs and bodies getting worse, we exited the ghyll and laughed at the comments, some of which I shall refrain from publishing. πŸ˜‚ but they were good ones.

A week on the trail bus, trains and coaches touring with a group around Scotland.
Again the weather was great, no big dramas with public transport...phew, with 12 clients that would have made entertaining interesting πŸ˜€. Day one headed to Fort William, the train journey was really lovely(I rarely use the train). After FW we headed to Mallaig, fab journey as those who have travelled by train this way will know. The ferry to Armadale gave wonderfully views of Eigg, Rhum and Skye itself showing off the Cuillin range in all it's glory. Next day was spent seeing as much as we could.
Our accommodation for two nights at kyleakin, I've always by passed this gorgeous corner of Skye, so was glad to have stayed here to explore. After Skye we headed off to Inverness, stopping on the way at Fort Augustus for a trip on Loch Ness for the clients. Also a quick stop just outside of Inverness for clients to photograph the Highland Coos. They had been desperate to see these lovely creatures close up. Inverness is a really nice city with plenty to see and do, lucky for us there was a classic car rally being held and it was fab to see so many of the oldies still on the road...some of which I used to drive back in the day 😁. A trip to Culloden was made and the weather had started to turn with quite a brisk chilly breeze, it made you think about how awful this battle was in weather far far worse than this day.
After two nights in Inverness we headed for Edinburgh for our final night. As usual it was very busy with tourists, however a tour by Invisible Cities, a social enterprise that trains people who have experienced homelessness to become walking tour guides in their own city. Our guide was very knowledgeable .
Final day clients departed for either home or onto further destinations. I had a really good week and discovered that using public transport is much better these days than I remembered. So thumbs up there, for those of you who use it regularly you may have a very different view πŸ€ͺπŸ€”πŸ˜€

Well today was interesting.... it started well, getting to meeting point on time, clients all arrived. Getting myself ready I discovered I had no socks πŸ€” to wear, so checking my car, sack and boot bag they were not there, I also decided I didn't want to carry my spare clothing bag either which is now residing g in the garage. So no spare socks either.
Well we set off with me wearing my boots sock free ha ha. I was teaching navigation today so thought it would probably be OK as i wouldn't be walking that fast , thanks to Rainbows & Sprinkles for my extra long leggings which pulled down under my feet πŸ˜€. Amanda suggested I take my crocs with me, which I did.
By the time we got to have lunch, the weather was really warm, so I took my boots off and swapped them for my crocs, the area is not to wet and muddy, until I decided I was walking on the path, after sending clients on a bearing, said path was mossy and wet and squelchy duh. Just goes to show that even us can mess up 🀣🀣.
However, that's not the only thing, when we started the nav course, moi realises that my phone is sitting in the holder in the car 😬 what a muppet. So no photos today of our lovely people , however they were amazing, really picked it up quickly and are going off into the great outdoors to get lost🀣🀣.... actually no, seriously, they are going to practise more to keep up the skills they learnt today. Thank you for joining me today, if I see you again for an advanced course I hope I'll have got myself together 😁

Today I've been mostly in the sun on Skye, in fact the t-shirt tan is off to a good start. We took our fab group to Sleat. A pretty drive into the area, with a few steep bendy roads.

After leaving the vehicle we made our way along the track and headed for the beach...white sand to play on. Spending around an hour here we headed off for the lighthouse, whereby we took a million pics and laid around enjoying the stupendous views. Well a few nodded off in the sunshine.

On our return trip it was really hot so we were pleased to have a nice breeze in our faces.
Finishing off with a beverage (beer) we headed home and then back out for a few more beverages 🀣🀣.
Great day out, with great company.

Well it is another fab day on Skye, weather gods are feeling happy. Today we got the Misty Isle boat to Coruisk and spent time roaming around the blue looking Loch.
After returning to Elgol we took millions more pictures around the honeycomb cliff and rocks.

A quick dip was had by a few hardy gals and then off to Broadford to have fish and chips yum yum
