Gilcrux Springs Trout Farm & Fishery Gilcrux Springs Trout Farm is a small family run trout fishery on the outskirts of the Lake District National Park.

Our fishery has 3 well stocked ponds offering fly fishing & bait fishing. Open from 8 a.m - 5pm ( no day tickets after 3p.m.)

Fly Fishing ( 4 hours ) Sporting Ticket £20
Fly Fishing ( All day ) ) 2 fish limit and or catch and return £30

Open from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

No day tickets issued after 3 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE the fishery will close at 4 pm on Saturday 9th May , gates will open at 7.30 a.m.
Also a big thank you to everyone who fished on Bank Holiday Monday the fishery was spotless after everyone had gone .

I’ve just spent an hour cleaning up the mess left around the bait ponds by some of yesterday’s anglers. This is the FINAL WARNING to all bait fishermen. Please show some respect for our fishery and clean up after yourselves. If this continues, bait fishing will be stopped. I appreciate the majority are very good , but as usual its the odd few that ruin things for everyone . Certainly, yet again increased litter equates to school holidays so there is an easy solution here if this continues !!

We are doing a evenings fishing for a children's group later in the year . We are short of a few rods and reels . If anyone has some small fishing rods around 6 foot and reels that work , that they no longer need and happy to donate to us that would be a great help
