🏏Saturday Team News🏏

Both teams have their final game of the season tomorrow as the firsts make the trip to Keswick Cricket Club - a win could potentially lift them to second if results go in their favour. Rumours of an old partnership being rekindled as well👀

The seconds round off their season as they host Nunwick CC - looking to finish the season on a positive.

🏏Weekend Results Summary🏏

The only game of the weekend saw the firsts come away with all 10 points after a close game against Whitehaven Cricket Club - some good bowling from the visitors limited us to 193 in the first innings. In reply, we had the hosts 7-3, but a 4th wicket partnership of 102 put them in the driving seat. A flurry of quick wickets got us back into the game before bowling the hosts out for 168 - Elliot with 3, Callum and Aidan with 2 each.

One game to go as we face Keswick next week, looking to end the season on a high.

🏏Weekend Results Summary🏏

The firsts picked up another win last Saturday as they travelled to - the hosts dug deep and batted out their overs. In reply, we knocked off the total 1 down to take all 10 points💪

The seconds lost out to Langholm Cricket Club - a good bowling performance meant we needed 194 to win. Ultimately, we fell 53 runs short but picked up 3 bonus points in the process. Congratulations to Langholm Cricket Club on winning the league🤝

On Sunday, the Colts welcomed Threlkeld Foxes - both sides looked to have a fair chance at the halfway stage, with us needing 200 to win. Unfortunately our run chase never got going as we were bowled out for 140.

The firsts are once again back out west today as they make the trip to - two changes this week as Jack and Greg return for Oli and Seth.

🏏Weekend Results Summary🏏

The firsts came away on the fun bus with all 10 points on Saturday after a close game at Egremont Cricket Club - the hosts set 208 to win, Phil the pick of the bowlers taking 4fer. In reply, a father-son opening stand of 122 set the chase up nicely, with our driver for the day eventually departing for 81. Egremont got themselves back into the game with regular wickets, but we got ourselves over the line with a ball to spare💪

The seconds made the trip to Wetheral Cricket Club - unfortunately a tough day at the office but played with good team spirit despite only having 8, well done to those involved👏

On Sunday, the Colts hosted - the hosts set a big score of 286 thanks to some good batting all round - George and Isaac with 2 each. An unbeaten 50 from James was the best of our batting, but ultimately we came up 113 short.

The firsts make the trip out to Egremont Cricket Club this afternoon on the fun bus - looking to keep up with the top two towards the back end of the season.

The seconds are away to Wetheral Cricket Club - looking to build on some positives in recent weeks.

🏏Weekend Results Summary🏏

The firsts recorded another win with a strong performance against Cockermouth Cricket Club last Saturday. A tight bowling performance including a hat trick from Jack bowled the visitors out for 68. In reply, we knocked the total off 1 down💪

The seconds lost out to Gamblesby on Saturday - we were bowled out for 126 and the hosts knocked it off inside 16 overs.

On Sunday, the colts welcomed Stainton Cricket Club - in a reduced game, the visitors set 167 to win, with Olly taking 3 wickets. The game went down to the last ball, needing 4 to win but unfortunately we came up short.
