The Wigan 10k 2024 from start to finish 🔚 📸

“Motivated” by disappointment 😤🗯️

➕✅ 1 Positive is that my first 5k was 17:32 so I was on track for a sub 35 min 10k, aiming to get that within the next month 👊

Shoutout the boys keeping me honest this morning and well done everyone. Top efforts 👏 🌅.

First session back post holiday with the Run Club TEAM. Needed it, and what a way to start back with my 2km splits equating to a sub 35-minute 10k, which is my aim for the Wigan 10k in 4 weeks time.

10 Mile PR ⏱️ 1:00:51

Set out with achieving a 10k PB, but with max effort 12 second on, 48 seconds off sprints X12 on Thursday I had 3 days worth of hamstring DOMS 🦵🥵, which ultimately made it impossible for me to get any speed so I decided to go for a 10 mile PB 3k in and got it 🫡

Happy with a 47 second improvement on my last 10 miler. Felt like I was coasting from km’s 7-12 and should have probably picked up the pace, but it felt quite easy and sub 1-hour is definitely on the cards before the month ends 👊

This week is back to speed however, and a 5k PB attempt is the aim 🎯
