What a brilliant day of rugby for our Under 9s GOLDs Team!!! 💛❤️

So proud of every single one of these young players today ⭐
They got stuck in, worked together, supported their teammates and, most importantly, had FUN!!! 🙌

Days like today are about so much more than tries and tackles ❤️💛
They’re about teamwork, confidence, friendships, determination and making memories together 💪🏉

A huge thank you to all the coaches, volunteers, parents and supporters who give up their time and make days like this possible 👏

Our under 9’s Wigan St Judes Team will be doing their spondered walk next weekend to raise some funds for some new equipment that the team are planning on investing this year, to help the team develop

A 6 mile walk from Burscough, finishing off at Boathouse in Appley Bridge.

Every player gave their all, showing great determination, teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship throughout. The effort, commitment and progress these boys continue to show week after week makes everyone at the club incredibly proud 💥

Meaning Golds won both games played against Pilks, scoring 2️⃣8️⃣ - 6️⃣ game 1 followed by a score of 2️⃣8️⃣ - 1️⃣6️⃣ game 2️⃣ 🏉👌

Won BOTH games today again Pilkington Recs:
🏆 Game 1: 2️⃣8️⃣ - 6️⃣ 🏆
🏆 Game 2: 2️⃣8️⃣ - 1️⃣6️⃣ 🏆

From the first play of the ball to the last, every single player gave 100%. The determination, teamwork, resilience and effort on display was incredible to watch 👏

Rugby is built on teamwork, commitment and supporting one another, and these boys showed exactly that today throughout both the matches they played 💪👌

They all played with heart, worked hard for each other, and represented the team with pride ❤️

Whether it was the big tackles, strong carries, or never giving up when things got tough, they should all be extremely proud of themselves 💫

UNFORGETTABLE WEEKEND FOR OUR ST JUDES UNDER 9S

What a weekend we’ve had at Butlins Skegness for the Leeds Rhinos 🦏 Challenge 2026

Both teams (Marrons & Golds) did themselves proud and put every ounce of effort in each game, coaches and parents couldn’t have asked for any more

A weekend where off the pitch, friendships get even stronger, and memories are made

Huge well done to our outstanding players, Jesse and Rico, both voted Parents player

Big thanks to our coaches keeping it all together with such a hectic weekend

Roll on 2027 where we plan on making this even more memorable, bigger and better than ever before
