What are the age limits:
- Age 10 for Paddle boarding but must have an adult on site
- Age 8 to go i
n a kayak but must have an adult on the water with them or age 10 plus to be on the water alone
- Age 6 to go in a double kayak with an adult or age 10 plus if no adult on the craft or water
- Age 4 to go on a rafted canoe with two adults
- Age 5 years with an adult accompanying on the funboat. Children age 10 years above my sail without an adult on the boat. Can my child sit on my paddleboard:
- If it is your own paddle board then they can providing they are wearing a buoyancy aid and this is at your risk
- For hire, they need to be aged 10 plus and be on their own board. Can I bring my own paddleboard/kayak/ kit:
- Yes you can bring your own paddle board, canoe or kayak.
- Currently we do not allow inflatable kayaks but we are reviewing this in the autumn as we are aware that standards of inflatable kayaks have improved significantly.
- We ask that you have third party insurance which can be bought via British Canoeing.

Are activities suitable for beginners?
- All of our activities are suitable for beginners. Before you go on the water, you will be given a demonstration and brief of how to use your craft. Can I bring my dog?
- You are welcome to bring your dog on site but they must be on a lead please.
- They can go on the water but this is at your own risk. Can I bring my own jet ski or powerboat?
- We don’t allow jet skis or own powerboats on the flash due to wildlife restrictions.
- We operate powerboats for health and safety reasons. Do you provide Buoyancy Aids/lifejackets:
- We provide Buoyancy Aids/lifejackets on your arrival as part of the hire price. What should I wear?
- In summer months the water temperature isn’t too cold so shorts or leggings and a t-shirt is fine to wear. If you have a wetsuit then you are welcome to wear it.
- Please don’t wear heavy clothes such as hooded jumper as if they get wet then they will make you cold and weigh you down in the water.
- We are looking to reintroduce hire of wetsuits in October when the water temperature drops. What should I bring with me?
- We recommend that you bring a towel, change of clothes and shoes and a warm top with you in case you are cold. What do I wear on my feet:
- Closed toe shoes that’s can get wet or water shoes. Can I hire a wet suit:
- Currently we aren’t hiring wetsuits out due to limited changing facilities and as it is the summer, the water isn’t too cold so they aren’t necessary.
- We are looking to reintroduce hire of wetsuits in October. Is there somewhere I can leave my keys and phone?
- Yes we have boxes where you can leave keys and phones with a member of staff. Do you accept card payments?
- Currently all bookings are in advance and online.

- We cannot take card payments on site. Do you cancel if it is raining?
- The only time that sessions will be cancelled are when it is thunder, lightening or high winds.
- Once the activity is booked a cancellation or reschedule due to the weather will be made on the morning of the activity by the Senior instructor on site. If it is safe to operate then the session will go ahead. Do you do group bookings:
- Yes we offer group bookings. We have lots of groups coming to us such as schools, sports teams, community and voluntary groups, gyms and work place teams.

- We are an accredited RYA Training and British Canoeing Centre.
- We offer adult and junior courses in sailing, paddlesports and also deliver Level 2 powerboat courses.

Do you offer lessons?
- Yes we offer 1-2-1 or small group lessons in sailing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding and windsurfing.

Can I or a family member bring support staff:
- If you need to bring someone with you then please email us before booking at [email protected]
What is your refunds policy:
- We ask people to book in advance to ensure we have enough staff and equipment ready.
- We can offer a refund if your booking is at least 7 days in advance.
- We may be able to transfer bookings to another day if it is 5 days or more before the booking.
